Supposed To Be (8/27/22)

"This is not the way it is supposed to be"

I sit as you are in

Far away cities

Reminiscing from a foreign terrace

I recall how my decision

Was final

Dispersed from reality

You will fall

In unity

Despite regrettable history

I think to myself , "How is this so?"

How I found my freedom

My own wealth in loneliness

Lonely desire

Yet I thrive that era

Whilst you fall

"This is not the way it is supposed to be"

I know you speak

Of my absence through vengeance

Keep talking, bring it on

Your words are weak

No longer do they exist

As shards to my heart

Nothing can destroy

Me

"This is not the way it is supposed to be"

Old eras reemerge

Flash of the camera blinded me

Never saw the worst in you

Photographs are merely memories

And mistake I have learned from

The strength guides me

As the empress' butterfly

Greets me at the gates

The kingdom awaits for me

My gem shines in the sun

My head holds higher than the clouds

In which we are bound to exist in

I await the crown

To see you all bow down

Before me

Reminiscing to a foreign terrace

Reminder at my fault

You are to blame

I tell the tale of the century

My freedom has found riches

Wealth in what you despise

My centuries

"This is the way it is supposed to be..." .
