All These Pages written long ago
By me
Have never meant so much
To me
I flip them and every time
I wonder what's on your mind
About me
There's a page full of hyperboles, imagery, and similes
But there's no perfect word to describe you
You're too damn pretty and too perfect
But girl I love you every minute, I admit it
When I flip through These Pages at night
I try my best not to cry
I gaze up at the crowded starry sky
Wondering if you also see the sky
And if similar thoughts flood through your mind
When I flip through These Pages day and night
I think about how we both seem too uptight
Flashbacks flood my mind
Of what we used to be
A scene that interrupts my my ongoing story
To tell of our
Rich history
There's just so much
I cannot take it anymore
It's likely they've opened up a secret door
That makes me realize
What I did all this for
But these flashbacks
That flood my mind
Of what we used to be, telling our story
And I just can't help but think
How all These Pages from long ago
Suddenly mean so much
To me.
