She's talking about when we were young

One and done

Oh we were so young

She was a light in the middle of that May

Across the river and through the storm

She was all I could ever think of

She's feeling nauseous but says it's worth it

Under umbrellas of amusement park lights

Early autumn nights

And I rarely think of her now

I know that we are still young

Those days were worth it

Under scattered amusement rides

I once prayed she'd be my bride

Early June nights

Reminder of that May's plight

I rarely think of her now

Because her someone

Isn't me.
