She said, "I'm so sorry I'll be thinking of you."
And I just sat there, reading
Not knowing what to do
the heart before her name
Her letter said to little
At first it seemed like nothing
But to me it was sure something
I said, "Thank you, 'Stay gold', this shit's getting kinda old, but thank you."
Or at least that sums up what I said
But I still have trouble going to bed
Knowing she won't leave my head ever
This will last forever
There was no other letter, oh
And when time for me to see
Her pretty face again [came]
She just walked by and said, "Hi."
And we never really spoke again
It was like me and my letter
Were pushed aside
I watched as she walked away
And I didn't know what else to say
So I then just walked away
I said, "Expect more letters coming your way, from yours truly, your secret lover [me]."
