There's cigarette smoke and I'm thinking

Of you

My dreams are clouded

But the sun's rays shine

Above you like a halo

Captivating all I dared to see

My hair is in waves below my shoulders

While yours is above mine

Outside in the garden

I'm guilty

I love that you're older

I'm at the table

Grey eyes, lavender mind

Just a brief glance

Through the curtains

Sunlight filters through

And I see

Is you

He is in frame

He's bold and he's kind

Yet only you come to mind

Sunkissed strands upon your shoulders

I just can't help but stare

Wildberry tea stains my fingertips

Rose wine was once on your lips

Oh, that garden

Wouldn't it just be perfect?

Just a glimpse through the curtain

And once more I'm enchanted

You turn to face me

Your eyes are daggers

Beautiful, deadly, bold

This could be dangerous games now

I'm back to the table

Eyes shining and blinded

I'm panicked because you're pretty

And you saw me

Beautiful distraction

Sudden stranger

You pass by

Your dark grey sweater

Wrapped around you

Wrapped around me

I have the same one

How might that be?

I'm at the table

Panicked and a promise bouquet

From yours truly

On my mind

My tone has rows of roses

There are thorns between lies

But those daggers in your eyes

Are more powerful

Piercing that glimpse

Old hopes

As you kiss him goodnight.
