Looking down from the bleachers
As the clock strikes nineBefore we say goodbye
For another time
Standing tall
Because I'm so free and brave
A glance across the way
Tells me you are led astray
I'm many moments and memories
Away
But I could walk to you in a minute
If I timed my heart perfect
And my stride allowed it
Looking up at the bleachers
It's long past nine
And pretty past times
I'm on a terrace in paradise
I feel worshipped
But I shouldn't be
Would you really get on your knees for me if he wasn't all you wanted him to be?
What a wonderful man
Shame I'm always
The other man
For it is he who I am not
He, who I could never meet
Yet he, who I always wanted to be
I saw you
I saw from the top of the bleachers
Your eyes capsulated constellations
And it was all for me
Pointing out a pretty past-time
Seen by you with sight
But never in your heart
No picture to frame of us
For your heart is astray
I saw you
I saw you today
It was 10:10AM
Sie sind "Heim"
Und Ich bin "Gäste"
If you play your cards right
Don't break your own heart
Tomorrow I leave with daybreak
I saw you today
And you saw me
I wished you would see me
Though I don't think you love me
For I am merely temporary
I think of a lady
A lovely lady
Tonight
I think of today
Tomorrow I'll think of tonight
And tonight I'm thinking about you
A morning haze
A morning hopelessness
I saw you today
What did you see in me?
