In the night
We are the closest to our dreams
As the darkness deems us part
Our visions greet the sky
As we are the closest to the stars
Where we belong
In the night
I ignite the fires
By rushing waters that flowed
Then
But that was then
And this is now
And the rush is what it once
When it all began
In the night
I dream
Left to wonder what it means
How are these dreams mine
If I do not know what they mean?
What are they to me
If I am everything to them?
Why are they nothingness
For my reality?
Uninvited vows
Reunite with this thread
Those days were golden
I was a pretty polaroid
Those days are on my wall
I refuse to forget
Though I wish I could
Memory captured damn near perfect
In frame
Wandering the town
Distant lover on my mind
Sweetness of taste is bittersweet
What I imagine of her
A sweet song
Surrounding flames derived creek fire's
I can still see everything
This embrace engulfs me
Considering it never left
Was my face to be remembered
If I would rather just forget?
I often think about
How the past has been
How different things could be
Recent history is history
Last night
If things were different
I wouldn't be me
Once again
Every word spoken
Every polaroid captured
Every memory on the wall
Haunts me
I wish it were true
I have come so far
So I must remember
The way the creek flows
And flames rise
This water divides us
Flows right between
What we had
And what remains
Maybe I am bound
By another destiny
I remember the old days
If I forget
I vow to later remember
Flames rose, flames rise
They'll continue to rise, too
Creek water flowed, creek water flows
They'll continue to flow, too
I lived, I live
And I'll continue to live
My cherishable thread
I long for
Forevermore
Forgetting is hard when
Those golden days
Come back
In the Night.
