The next day: Sonic was at the bakery. He was talking to the baker about some treats he will need for Manic and Sally's wedding. Sonic asked the baker as he looked at the list Sally sent to the family a few days earlier, "Is there any chance you can place about 500 crepe-suzettes, 278 baked bread with butter on the side, 494 cinnamon rolls, 378 breadsticks, 721 raspberry tarts, 512 macrons, and one large 10 layer wedding cake by the end of December? Which is about 6 months?" The baker replied to him in a gentle and British tone, "Well there is a chance but I may need all the help we can get. I know how urgent and perfect you want your brothers wedding to be your highness. But I'll do what I can and see what I can do. I'll start right away next week after I call the rest of my workers. You gotta understand I'm a very busy man." Sonic nodded and said, "I understand completely. Also it's good to hear besides I want my brothers wedding to be perfect." Before he can leave the baker asked, "Wait your highness. What frosting and flavor the wedding cake would be?" Sonic replied, "My brother wants chocolate with vanilla frosting but Sally wants strawberry with yellow buttercream frosting." The baker smiled confidently and said as she just came up with an idea, "Well I got an idea. I'll make it both chocolate and strawberry with vanilla and yellow buttercream frosting. That should satisfy them." Sonic nodded and said, "I thank you for that baker. Well I'll be on my way. I gotta check with the florist. Thank you Mister Baker." The baker replied, "Anytime your majesty. Anytime." Sonic once again turned but saw Knuckles in his way. Sonic asked, "Can't you see I'm busy?" Knuckles replied, "Well sort of. But listen I uhhh. Got you something." Knuckles revealed a heart shaped pie to Sonic. However Sonic was not phased. Although he got shocked as worms came out of the pie. Groaned in disgust Sonic made Knuckles throw the pie at his face. Sonic then said in disgust, "what am I a bird? Disgusting!" Sonic walked off as Knuckles realized this wasn't the pie he ordered for Sonic. Knuckles spoke to the baker, "Mister Baker! I ordered a heart shaped chocolate creme pie with cookie crumbs inside for Sonic. Not a heart shaped mud pie with worms." With an embarrassed expression the baker said in an embarrassed, "Oh hehehe. My deepest apologies sir. My wife must've misheard the order you see she has problems hearing. I'm so sorry. Hehe. What an embarrassment." Knuckles sighed but that's when the bakers wife said, "Sorry I misheard the order. But listen even if I got order right. the prince won't accept it. You see sir the prince is on a strict diet." Knuckles asked himself as the bakers wife walked back to the kitchen, "On a strict diet?" The red echidna facepalmed before he walked out of the bakery and said to the baker and his wife, "Thanks anyway."
