Midnight Blues

What's going on?

Jungkook pulled out a spare key to his brother's apartment. He could hear him and Hoseok talking but not what they were saying. It sounded a little heated, though. He opened the door and saw the two of them in each other's face, a little too close than usual, even for an argument. Both of them looked at him then stepped away from each other then made their way towards him. 

They nearly knocked him over when they wrapped him in a hug. "Damn it, Kook! It's so good to see you," Hoseok said as he smiled at the younger. Namjoon was quiet as he was still hugging his little brother. Jungkook knew why, so he just patted the man's back, "I'm okay, hyung. I've been okay... just got a little hurt and was camping at Jimin's."

"Why didn't you just call from someone's phone, if not yours?!" Namjoon wiped his eyes as he scolded Jungkook. "I was losing my shit! It's just us..." The man choked towards the end of his rant and Kook pulled him into another hug. He stared at the ceiling to keep his own tears from falling.

"Hey, it's all alright now, Joon. Kook's back and we all can sit and talk about everything that happened." Hoseok rubbed both of the brothers shoulders as he tried to get them both to calm down. 

A few minutes later, they all were sitting at the dining table, a can of beer in their hand. 

Namjoon sighed then took a sip of his beer, "So, everything happened after you made your way to the VIP room. "Did you see anything?"

Jungkook shook his head but kept his eyes on the beer can he turned in his hand. "I'm sure I seen only what you did, hyung." Jimin's eyes flashed in his mind as he spoke. He couldn't speak about Jimin's secret to his hyungs. He wouldn't put him in danger like that.

"So Jimin is okay, as well?"

Jungkook nodded with a smile forming on his lips. Namjoon and Hoseok didn't miss it. "Taehyung was able to help us evacuate like everyone else, but through the back."

Hoseok's eyes widened at the mention of Taehyung, "Hey, Kook. I came across something interesting about that I.M. guy." Jungkook looked at him in curiosity, "Yeah? What'd you find?"

"Well, there is rumors going around the hunters that he works with or for vampires. I went to look him up on the grid and I got the same thing when I looked up Taehyung, nothing. It's like he wasn't born of this Earth or something."

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. That was weird, but the weirdest thing to him was that Taehyung is a human but has no profile on their grid. He thought he was mysterious and the fact that he found out that Jimin is a vampire, he was sure that Taehyung might be. However, the man told him he was just a vampire ally. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad, but if he was Jimin's ally, he had to be good.

"Hmm, that is weird. As far a Taehyung, I don't think he is a vampire or anything like that. He just seems to be a very rich human."

Hoseok and Namjoon looked at each other then nodded in response. That made Jungkook remember what he walked in on, "Hey, are you two alright? It seemed like you two were in a heated argument before I walked in."

Both of his hyung's eyes widened. They didn't expect him to ask about that. Namjoon cleared his throat and Hoseok nearly chugged the rest of his beer. 

"It's nothing, Kook. Trust me." That's all Hoseok could say. Jungkook looked directly at his brother because it was odd that he was completely quiet. The man wouldn't look him in the eye. "Hmm, okay. If you both are sure everything is okay, then I'll leave it alone." Jungkook gave them a cute smile as he scrunched his nose a bit, but he was definitely going to be keeping an eye on them more. 

Namjoon threw his beer can away after getting up from the table, "I guess the club isn't going to open tonight. I haven't heard anything from Mr. PArk, but the casino is always running." 

Jungkook smirked, "I should go play some games with the big boys. I miss those assholes."

"NO!" Hoseok and Namjoon yelled at him with the most serious faces they could give him. "You're not about to go put yourself in anymore bullshit. I have plenty of jobs to keep you busy. You've slacked off enough." Hoseok patted the younger's back as they all made their way towards the door. 

Jungkook almost jumped for joy, "Hell yeah, hyung! It's been a while since I last did a job. I'm excited!" 

They all laughed at Kook's excitement as they left the apartment.

*Outside Namjoon's living room window*

A dark figure clinging to the side of the window dropped down from the building and scurried into a nearby alley.

"Boss, that hunter guy knows about you."

"He doesn't know anything. Don't worry, if we have to handle him then we will. I've worked too hard to have hunters to take me down."

"Yes sir."

"Also, let my Kim friend know we need to speak soon."

"Yes sir."
