Moon Knight Oneshots

Overwhelmed

Marc thought you were fast asleep in your room before he heard noises of discomfort coming from you.
He opened it up, expecting to see you having a nightmare but what he saw was you sitting up in bed rocking back and forth and gripping at your hair.

"Angel, what's wrong?" He asked rushing forward and sitting on the side of your bed.

"I-It's too loud, it's too loud." You whispered shaking your head and covering your ears.

"What's too loud, angel?" He asked as you pointed at the clock that was beside your bed.
He couldn't even hear the ticking but he knew how sensitive you were to noises.
He grabbed it and took the batteries out making it stop, but it didn't help.

"The curtain keeps making a noise." You said as he nodded and quickly got up and closed the window.
You seemed to relax a little but you were still rocking back and forth.
He was new at all of this, but he was trying his best.
He knew Steven was a lot better at comforting but Marc wanted to get better so he could be there for you.
Marc saw your stuffed animal on the ground and picked it up for you.

"Here, sweetie. Does this help?" He asked handing it to you as you nodded and slowly took it.

"She has a weighted blanket in the closet, that usually helps." Steven said to Marc as he nodded and rushed to the closet.

"Would you like your blanket?" He asked pulling it out as you nodded.
He came back over to you and gently placed it around your shoulders.
You closed your eyes and seemed to relax a little more.

"Do you want some jelly cups?" Marc asked softly as you smiled a nodded.

"Yes, please." You whispered in response as Marc returned your smile.
He ventured to the kitchen and grabbed two jelly cups out of the fridge for you.
Soft textures and sweet flavours were the only thing you would stomach right now and he knew that.
He returned and handed one to you with a small spoon.

"Will you stay?" You asked as he smiled.

"Of course I will, sweetheart."
