"Love?" You heard Steven call out as you hugged your knees to your chest, you were hiding in the bathroom.
He opened the door and looked down at you.

"Angel? Why are you in here?" He asked as you kept your head down.

"I don't want to see you." You whispered as he knelt and gently reached forward to pull your face to look at him.

"Baby, what's wrong? I made you some lunch." He said as you yanked your head away from him.

"I don't want food, I don't want your food. I want to leave." You said glaring at him as his face fell.

"Love, you don't mean that. You don't want to leave, you want to stay here with us." He said as you stood up and backed away from him.

"No! I don't want to be here! I don't want to be anywhere near any of you!" You shouted at him before bolting away and for the door.
Suddenly smoke filled the apartment and you saw a figure appear in front of you.
A large skeleton of a bird.
You screamed and fell backwards, trying to back away.

"Did I scare you, little dove?" The figure said as you felt Steven grab you.
You quickly turned around and grabbed onto him hiding your face and crying.

"Please, I'm sorry. Please, don't let it hurt me." You sobbed into his chest as he wrapped his arms around you, enjoying the feeling of your arms around him.

"Shh, love. He won't hurt you." He cooed softly running his hand through your hair.
Steven had a wicked idea while he was holding you tightly.
The way he could make you realise you needed them was if they scared you.
Maybe it was cruel but it was needed.

Steven had told Marc and Jake about the plan and they were both on board.
They're first plan was to pretend someone had broken into the apartment to hurt you, it was a long shot but it needed to work.
They wouldn't let anyone else near you so they decided Jake would be the one to scare you and then Steven would comfort you.
You were fast asleep in your bed when you felt someone grab your hair roughly and throw you out of your bed.
You looked up to see a tall man with a black mask on his face.
You screamed and tried to back away but he pounced on you.
He pinned you down as you struggled and cried. He ran his hand down your side as you cried out.

"Steven!" You screamed out closing your eyes and sobbing.
The weight suddenly was off you and you opened your eyes to see Steven.
You cried out and jumped up wrapping your arms around his neck.

"Steven, he wouldn't stop." You cried out as Steven wrapped his arms around you.

"Oh baby, it's okay. He's gone now. I've got you." He whispered comforting you as you cried.

"You see what would happen if you left us baby? No one would have been able to stop that." He said as you cried.

"I don't want to leave, never. Please." You cried out as Steven smiled.

"That's our good girl, we'll protect you, love."
