"Fay, I need your help" Josie walk in my room and sees me and Jace cuddling "Oh, sorry Jace, but it's kind of important" Jo said.
"I got it" He said to Jo then turned to me and kissed me "I'll see you later" Then he left.
"What's up Jo?" I asked.
"I need you to call one of your aunts and ask her what the merge is for me, please" Jo begged.
"Alright" I shrug my shoulder and grab my phone and dialed aunt Freya.
Freya: "Hey kiddo, what's wrong?
"Hi aunt Freya. I need some advice. Can you tell me what the merge is for Gemini covens?" I asked.
Freya: "That-ok. But um when Gemini twins turn a certain age, 22, then they merge their power and the stronger twin killing the weaker twin" Freya explained and my eyes widen.
Freya: "Fay are you ok? Why are you asking?" Aunt Freya sounded worried.
"Don't worry, I was calling about a friend of mine. Thanks aunt Freya" I said.
Freya: "Ok, call me if you need anything else, you love" she said.
I smile at what she said "Love you too" I then hung up.
"So, what did she say?" Jo asked.
"I need to go, sorry Jo" I said then walked out of my room leaving her there.
I walked back to Alaric's office, and he was there on the phone.
"I need to talk to you" I said, and he hung up.
"What is it now?" He asked.
"Forget about my dad, this is about your daughters. I just got off the phone with my aunt Freya and she explained to me what the merge is" I said, and he looked shocked, but he said nothing, so I continued to talk.
"Josie's pretty much figured it out, and, Lizzie is spiraling, so either you tell them, or I will, and I would hate for it to come from my mouth instead of yours, cause your too much of a coward to tell your daughters one is going to die" I said then stormed out of his office and Lizzie and Josie corned me in the hallway.
"Ok, what is going on. Tell me what you know" Josie said.
"You need to talk to your parents. Now" I said.
"Thank Fay" Lizzie said, and she and Josie left me alone.
Josie' pov___________
Lizzie followed me to mom and dad's office.
"Ok we want answers, what is the merge?" Lizzie asked.
"How do you know about that?" Mom asked shocked.
"It doesn't matter how we know" I said.
Dad signed "Sit down girls" he said, and we did sit down.
Dad explained it all to us.
"So, one of us is going to have to kill the other one?" I asked shocked.
"More like absorb. When Gemini twin turn 22, The merge will determine who will lead the coven" Dad said.
"And only one will survive. That's why I always been traveling when you were younger, trying to find a solution" Mom said looking at us sad.
"But if there's no one left from the Gemini coven..." Lizzie said.
I shook my head and look at her "No, it goes deeper than that" Then I turn back to my parents "It's a curse, right?" I asked.
They didn't say anything.
"A curse on the Gemini twins?" I asked again.
"Uh, yes... I know we should have told you both sooner, we just didn't know how" Mom said.
"When do you... Tell your children something like that?" Mom looked deviated.
"I mean, could you have handled that at 6? 11? When is the right moment to tell your children that you don't know how to protect from this?" Dad said.
"When we look at you sometimes, we see you as little girls... Riding your bikes for the first time. Learning to walk. Dancing on your feet" Mom said and signed.
"When I look at you, I see all of that. So, I was never ready to tell you... I'm still not" Dad said. The room went quiet, and mom and dad sat next to us wrapping their arms around us.
Fay's pov_________________
I was doing homework for the next few hours in my room. The day went by so fast. When Hope walks in "I-I think Landon is in trouble" she said. I sign closing my book. There always is something going on with him.
"What now?" I asked and she just gave me that look she gives people and I find myself in Alaric's office.
"We need to hear the message again" Hope said to him then looks at me "Fay, I need you to listen to the surroundings of the message, you're a vampire, you can hear better than us" She gestured to herself and Alaric.
I nod and he plays the message.
"Hey Ric, sorry to take off like that, but I just need a little time, so I'm going camping for a while" The voice of Landon spoke.
I kept hearing whispers and footsteps "I can hear..." I said listening intensely.
"Hopefully I can catch up on classwork later" Landon's message played.
"Shoe on a tile floor. An air conditioner running" I said describing the sounds.
"Tell Raf and Jeb hi for me" Landon's messaged played again.
"Keycards being swiped" I said.
"Triad" Hope said "It has to be them. They've already tried to come for him once last year" Hope also said.
"What are we going to do?" I asked.
Hope signed "I am going to go full wonder woman, that's what" Hope said angry.
"Do you need any help?" I asked.
"Yeah. I need my super quad time" Hope said.
"Girl's tonight isn't the best time to do anything" Alaric said.
"Let us adults handle this" Alaric kicked us out and told us to go back to our room for bed.
"There is no way we are leaving it up to Alaric and his team. We have to do this ourselves" Hope argued a we made our way to our room.
MG, Jed, and Jace were walking near us "Guy" Hope caught their attention.
"Super squad has a rescue mission. Tomorrow morning don't tell anyone" I said, and they nod.
"We have to bring the twins. All three of you are strong together" I said.
"Let's go" Hope and I walk to their room and knock on their door.
"Come in" We heard, and we enter.
"What?" Lizzie asked.
"Super quad rescue tomorrow, don't tell anyone" I said.
"We'll be there" Jo said.
Hope and I nod leaving and back to our room.
"It's going to be ok, Hope" I said as climbed into our beds.
"I just can't shake this bad feeling" Hope said and with that she fell asleep and so did I.
