A week went by and we arrived back at school. I walked into my room and Hope was already there.
"Where have you been? I have been trying to reach you for a few days now" Hope said looking upset.
"What happened?" I asked confused.
"So I came back here early with Landon... Only to find out Landon was a fake and Cleo betrayed me, she created a fake Landon then tired to kill me" Hope explained.
My jaw dropped.
"So.. Landon was never here... So where is he?" I asked her.
"Still dead somewhere" Hope said, then stormed off.
I left my stuff on my bed and walked to Alaric's office and saw Kaleb there.
"You got the same idea, huh?" I asked.
"Yeah" He said, we both walk in and Alaric just finished a phone call. We see a box on his desk.
"You're going to put Cleo back in there, aren't you?" Kaleb asked him and Alaric turned to see us "Next time you're planning something shady, you should remember there are vampires here that can hear you"
"I haven't decided what to do with Cleo yet, ok? Not in the long term, but for now, it might be best for everyone safety if she just returned to the artifact, while I figure things out" Alaric informed us.
Kaleb looked disappointed "Look, I know you guys are close, and your probably here to tell me I'm wrong but I am the school's headmaster, and IK have the burden of making these hard decision" Alaric said to him.
"I get it... I'm team shade, too" Kaleb said but he didn't sound convincing.
"That's not the way things usually go around here" I finally spoke up.
"Cleo manipulated Hope by creating a fake Landon and tried to kill her" Kaleb spoke.
"Cleo's got to go" I spoke with venom. She betrayed us all and needs to pay for what she has done.
Kaleb and I left the office and went to the dining hall.
"Jo" I smiled seeing her.
