Aurora's Pain

We finally managed to track Aurora down after 2 weeks of tracking her. We stopped at a cafe where she sat doing off at a waitress. 

"You know I could go for a bite" Aurora was about to feed from the waitress when Lizzie and I stepped in. 

"Bite us" Lizzie said as we walked over to her. 

"Sorry do you mind giving us a moment? she's a little..." I made a guested that she is drunk.

"Of course," The waitress left, and Lizzie and I sat in the booth in front of her.

"We have a nasty habit of running into each other like this, witch. How did you find me?" Aurora crossing her arms looking annoyed at us. 

"The artifact I stuffed you in your red hair after, so... That wasn't hard" Lizzie explained "But calling me a witch is reductive. A lot's changed sense we last saw each other" Lizzie showed her teeth and veins under her eyes. 

Aurora looked confused "Wow. A Heretic then. How lovely" Aurora said unimpressed "Though unless you intend to kill me with kindness" Aurora stood up from her seat. 

"We all know how much I suck at murder" Lizzie said.

Lizzie and I both stood up facing her. 

"But distractions, on the other hand..." I said and Hope said a spell behind Aurora knocking her unconscious. Lizzie caught her body before it hit the ground. 

"Killing you in my job" Hope said.

We out her in the trunk of the car and drove to a motel. 

Hope and I chained her to a chair.

"What's your deal?" Lizzie asked Hope "I thought you wanted to kill her?"

"I will... Once I figure out what her plan is. I want to know why she is after the gods" Hope said doing a spell so she couldn't break out of the chains. 

"Who cares? If she's dead, she can't find them" Lizzie said.

"Somebody else could" I said to her. 

"I don't know about you, but I would like to tell people, I'd like to be left alone" Hope said.

"Then why are you working with her?" We all turn around to see Aurora has woken up. 

"Sorry. I've been eavesdropping. But the question remains" Aurora said.

"You know what she wants to know. So, spill" I said to her. 

"What does the chicken scratch mean?" Lizzie asked holding her book. 

"Oof. I know it's very important I just can't seem to recall" Aurora said.

I sign "If she told us that easily, you wouldn't believe her" Lizzie said Hope and I nod our heads.

"So now were going to have to treat her like a hostile witness" I said, and Lizzie nods her head at me. 

"The court agrees. How does the prosecution wish to proceed?" Hope asked Lizzie and me. 

"If it pleases the court, this could be an opportunity to continue my Padawan vampire training... Teach me how to head-drive her" Lizzie said "I mean god knows what's going on in there-- hamsters running around on wheels, cobwebs, screws popping loose. But I'd level up my powers and you'd find out what she's up to" 

"Oh. Sounds fun. Shall we?" Aurora said sarcastically. 

"We shan't" Hope shook her head.

Lizzie and I look at each other confused. 

"Then, what do you have in mind?" I asked her. 

"You stand accused of stealing my body, blaspheming my family name, and... well for being a relentless bitch" Hope said to her. 

"Guilty as charged. But no matter of what punishment you think of, little bird, I'm not telling you anything" Aurora said.

"You want to fuck with us, Mikaelson's?... I bet you didn't know I have a cousin" Hope said and Aurora looked at her confused. 

"Cousin? No other Mikaelson has kids" Aurora said.

"My father" I said, and she looked at me "Is Elijah Mikaelson" her eyes widen in shock "You said you would make the Mikaelson's pay, but you had no idea you had one right under your nose" I smirk at her. 

"The noble one... That's weird" Aurora muttered. 

  "I can promise you this, you will be punished, and it will hurt" I said and Hope smirks. 

Hope moved the chair in front of the window that is covered in curtains. I walk over to the left side getting ready to open it. 

"Take off her daylight ring on her finger" Hope said to Lizzie. 

Lizzie looked horrified as Hope went to the right side of the curtains. 

"Hope..." Lizzie said looking hesitant.

"You heard me. Do it" Hope said.

Lizzie went in front of Aurora and took her ring off. 

"My brother Tristan looked at me like that. Whenever he betrayed me" Aurora said to Lizzie. 

Hope gave me a look and we both opened the curtains. Aurora screamed in pain as her skin started to burn and turn red. 

She started thrashing around and started to catch on fire. 

It felt good watching her in pain. For everything she has done to our family. 

After a few minutes we stopped, and she was unconscious. We waited until she was healed and awake to go again. We did this about 4 times. 

Hope and I went into our room next door sitting on one bed. 

Lizzie walks in a few minutes "Are you going to kill her or not?" she asked.

"Is that your way of telling us that she's finally healed?" I asked Lizzie.

"Why are you acting like your humanity is off?" Lizzie looked at me.

"Liz. My humanity is on. I know what I am doing" I tell her. 

"Your more concerned torturing her then going to Nathan? You know I never really did like him in the beginning when you brought him to the school, but he has grown on me, he doesn't deserve to grieve you when you're here and alive" Lizzie tells me. 

"I want nothing more to run to his arms and tell him I'm alive, but she has to die" I snap back at Lizzie. 

"Enough you two, has Aurora healed or not?" Hope asked Lizzie. 

"She is but still unconscious. Hope we have been at this for hours and she is telling us nothing" Lizzie said "So maybe it's time for a different approach" 

"Way ahead of you. Close that door. You're letting in the stench" Hope said.

Lizzie closed the door and walked closer to us. 

"Where did you get that grimoire?" Lizzie asked as she noticed the book Hope is reading. 

"I stole it from Valdemar. It's black magic" Hope said "Aurora said something to me when we first me, I'm trying to figure out how to make one" 

"Another torture device?" Lizzie asked sitting on the bed "Which means you're not listening to me" 

Hope chuckles "That's not how this works. I'm the sire, you're the bond, remember?" Hope asked.

"If I am helping you burn someone alive, surely my option should count for something, too" Lizzie said.

"A head dive wouldn't work. For starters it's painless, and she is stronger for it, which I don't want to admit" I said.

"Yeah" Hope agreed with me. 

"She seems pretty weak right now. Maybe we could try" Lizzie tried to say.

"Try all you want, that way I can work in piece" Hope said.

"Maybe Liz, you should leave the torture to us" I said.
