Hope's pov______________________

I woke up on a park bench just outside a famous bar.

"All right. Come out, Mini-me" I stood up looking around confused "Show yourself. Where are you?"

I turned around and a guy who was on his phone looks at me like I am crazy "I'm not crazy. I just need to figure out what memory this is" I yelled as he ran away when I started talking to him.

I face the other way and sign "Admittedly sounds crazy. Maybe I'm losing it" I said to myself.

"It's ok Hope" I turn around and Aunt Rebekah walked over to me "Everything that can be lost may also be found"

"Well, you'd better hope so because you're about to be missing some teeth" I said to her with no emotion and she smiles

"Well, you'd better hope so because you're about to be missing some teeth" I said to her with no emotion and she smiles. For some reason.

"Welcome home, little one. It's going to be good to have you back" Rebekah told me.

"If that was some veiled reference to my humanity, it's like I keep telling everyone, it's never coming back" I said getting frustrated with everyone's attempt.

"Well see about that" Rebekah said.

"Get out of my head. I'd like to wake up from this nightmare" I said to her.

"Hm. That's odd. A moment ago you thought it was a memory" she said to me.

"I've had a rough couple of days" I shrug my shoulders.

"I know. Your headmaster told me" which made me confused.

"I wasn't aware you two were on speaking terms. It's not like anyone from our family ever makes it to parents- teacher conferences"

"We've been more absent than we'd like. There are reasons for that, not the least you of which is you threatening to murder us all the last time I saw you, but I'd still like to apologies" Aunt Rebekah said.

"I hope that wasn't your big swing. I don't need an apology" I said to her.

"Why'd you bring it up then?" Good point "Your humanity is flickering, Hope. It's trying to return" she said walking a little closer to me.

"It should stop. So should you" I said to her.

"This is not a nightmare, or a memory, or a head dive, if that's what your thinking" she said.

"Then what the hell is it, besides insufferable?" I asked her.

"Astral projection. Vincent is anchoring the spell, so while your body may be intangible, we are, in fact, in New Orleans, and everything that's happening here is very real" she said.

"Well... At least you can't try to hug me, or stop me, so...I'm going to go stare at a beignet" I began to walk away.

"You'll miss the show" I stop when I see a marching band walk by.
