Flash From The Past

Fay's pov______________________

I woke up just as everyone else woke up.

We all stare at Hope. 

"Did you see the same thing I did?" I asked them. While I was knocked out I saw a way to defeat Malivore once and for all.

No one spoke, probably meaning they saw what I saw. 

We sat around the fire again "Today was weird, right?" Lizzie asked breaking the ice.

"If you find ominous weird, yeah" Hope said folding her arms facing the fire.

"Hope, we were literally on drugs. Some stupid story you two wrote when we were kids doesn't mean anything in it is actually going to happen" Josie said "Or that your fate is sealed" 

"I think it does. Let's face it. my fate has been sealed since the day I was born because there's always a loophole with magic. And I'm the loophole" Hope tells us sitting down in front of the three of us.

"The whole reason I exist is to defeat Malivore. At what point do I stop fighting and just accept it?" Hope asked.

"You don't. Not if you don't want everything that that means" I said to her. 

"I don't. That stupid story made me remember all the reasons why. My whole life has been one trauma after another, and if I have to become the Tribrid, it's like I'm stuck in that trauma forever" Hope admits "Just like I'm stuck with the memory of all the family I've lost" 

"I'm sorry we couldn't see why you were hurting back then. But... Right now is different. Were different" Josie and I nod at what Lizzie is saying "I'm still a working progress, but I'm definitely a better version of Lizzie Saltzman. And Josie has become stronger and more independent. And Fay is more loyal and caring and less bitchy from when she first came" Lizzie said and I laugh. 

"There's no reason why you can't be whatever you want, too. A new Hope" I said to her. 

"Thanks" Hope smiles at me but then she stops smiling "But I think the universe is telling me the opposite. Honestly this has been weighing me since Cleo pointed it out after she tried to kill me. And you know what? she was right because I do feel responsible for every time a monster comes along, because I know I am the only one who can stop them... What if I don't do this and someone I love gets hurt in a way I can't fix it... Same problem with Landon, it's like for once, I just want to love someone and not loose them" Hope explained. 

"You only became the Tribrid in that story because you faced Malivore alone. We won't let that happen" Josie said and Lizzie and I nod agreeing with her. 

"Yeah. Super Squad has your back" I said.

Lizzie stood up "Panda promise" 

We all stood up and wrapping our pinkies around each others. 

Then we hugged.

"Let's get out of here" Lizzie said breaking apart.

"Wait. Footsteps" Hope pointed out. 

"It leads to Andi cabin" Lizzie said and we followed her inside the cabin. 

"I swear to god, If she's crawled out of the hole, I will kill her again" Lizzie said.

I notice the footsteps and I hear the shower running "It's not her" I said to them. 

"Footprints are too big" Josie said then the shower stops and a few minutes later a guy came out in a towel to reveal Clarke, Landon's brother. 

"Oh. Hey" he said noticing us. 

"Clarke?" Hope asked shocked to see him. 

"How'd you sleep?" he asked her.
