New Discovery

Hope snaps Lizzie's neck and put her in the sarcophagus, after I told her not to, but she didn't listen to me. Hope and I went to go see Dr. Valdemar. After his lesson, he took us to his office.

"What can I do for you all?" Dr. Valdemar asked once we stepped into his office. I closed the door behind us. 

"This" Hope pulled out an item Aurora had. 

"This is astounding" Dr. Valdermar admired it. 

"Does that mean you know what it is?" Hope asked. 

"No exactly. But certain elements... This writing for example. Not visible to the naked eye, but scrawled in blood in multiple languages, speaking of the gods" Dr. Valdemar said happy for himself, but Hope wasn't happy "But the gods of dozen different cultures. Maybe more" 

"Look, I know you're supposed to be an expert, but... Gods don't exist" Hope said.

"Nor do vampires. Least as far as most people are concerned" Dr. Valdemar said "Myths are but one discovery away from becoming our reality" 

"Good point" I muttered. 

"Did Virgil say that, too?" Hope asked. 

"No. I did" he took off his classes "But why bring this to me and not your headmaster?" He asked us. 

"Dr. Saltzman and I had a fight, so I'm taking the semester off" Hope lied. 

"That's an understatement" I muttered to myself. 

He then turned to the sarcophagus "No way... Someone's inside. And miraculously, they're alive" he said with joy. 

Hope took it away from him and laughs "Trust me, it'd be much more of a miracle if Lizzie Saltzman were dead" 

Dr. Valdemar looked horrified. Guess he figured it out. 

"Hope... What's happen to you?" he asked her. 

"You're supposed to be brilliant. You tell me" Hope shrugged her shoulders and flashed her Tribrid eyes to him. 

"Can we speed this up, please?" I asked him. 

"Places to go, people to kill" Hope added. 

"I am moving as fast as I can go" Valdemar said going through some shelves of his. 

"It's not fast enough" Hope snapped. 

"Hope. He's doing the best he can" I snapped back at her, and she just glares at me. 

"I have tried everything to destroy that artifact, and nothing has worked" Hope said to him "And if you can't and you're just stalling..."

"Merely release Elizabeth from it" Valdemar said "She's a siphon witch. She should be able to remove any magic that protects it" 

"We forgot to mention one more thing, Hope killed her and she's in transition" I said, and he looks up in shock "She would be a Heretic, a vampire who is also a witch, able to siphon an endless amount of magic, which sounds like a lot" I explained. 

"I did a sleep spell on her and I'm waiting for her to starve" Hope said. 

"Speaking of transitions... I didn't realize becoming the Tribrid would make you cruel" he said looking at Hope. 

"No one did" I shook my head "She did kill me, and I was brought back" I shrugged my shoulders. 

"My humanity is off, so, like I said I would move faster If I was you" Hope threatened.
