George woke up at two-thirty in the morning. His arms in pain and his whole body was weak. He grabbed his phone to see a good friend of his, Quackity posted another YouTube video. He didn't have the willpower to watch the video. He heard his stomach growl because he hasn't ate in three days.

It took him thirteen minutes to push himself out of his bed. He walked over into his kitchen. His whole house was dark, only one light was on which was in the family room. His mother was watching television on the sofa. He didn't have a good relationship with his parents, especially his father. His father was an alcoholic to say the least. George opened the fridge to find only half a gallon of milk, one pre-made turkey sandwich, two twelve packs of beer and two waters. He grabbed the sandwich and one of the waters.

"George." A very numb voice came from the family room. It was his mother

"Hi mom." George's monotoned voice finally spoke out, also having a dry throat made talking feel like a struggle to the boy

"What are you doing up this early?" His mother looked over at a wall clock. She looked back over at the brunette

"I got hungry." George held up the sandwich, shaking it in a proving way

"Do you really need to eat again?" His mother questioned the boy, she didn't like when George ate in between his four-day of not eating. George hated that rule but if he didn't follow it he would be brought to hell

"I haven't ate in three days, yeah I do need to eat." George knew that was the dumb thing to say.

"One more day could be fine for you." She tried to come off comforting but it came out more gruff and miserable

"Are you okay? Like is your brain working?" George knew he shouldn't have said that.

"You are such a rude son. Anyway did you write your final essay for high school?" She tried changing the subject before George says anything else

"Not yet I still have all month." George shrugged off the question thinking it wont be that big of a deal

"George!" She yelled. It caught George off guard, just a second ago her voice was dead but now she is yelling "George fucking Davidson! You need to do that essay right now! If you don't do this you wont graduate and you will have to live here, you are still eighteen and still live here, I should just kick you out right now just because you can't seem to do it yourself."

"Mom one I graduate this year, just because Im eighteen doesn't mean I'm out of school already and two, I have this week and two other weeks before its due."

"You know what I'm tired of you! Just leave tonight, you can come back when I text you, now leave!"

George got choked up. George only had this happen to him two other times and spent those nights on the sidewalks. He ran to his room to grab his phone and a spare hoodie

He quickly left the house and texted his friend Karl who he has been friends with since the second grade. They practically grew up as brothers, but one had loving parents and one had ones who hated him.
