4 - Irritation

A week had passed since Felix was officially accepted into their dance group. Hyunjin's sleep schedule was still messed up, always finding himself awake late into the night. It's made him more irritable than normal, and it didn't help that when Felix would be in his presence, he'd get that jealous feeling in his chest. Hyunjin hated it. 

The boys were getting ready to begin the process of choreographing a new dance for the season's first home game. As usual, they all gathered in the practice room after school let out. However, on this particular day, they were waiting on Chan to finish his meeting with the principal so that they do everything appropriately. 

Minho and Jisung were sat close to each other watching something on Jisung's phone. Felix was laying on the floor on his side, facing the mirror wall. His head laid on Changbin's thigh, who was also on his phone. Next to Changbin was Hyunjin, who was leaning into Jeongin while the two played games on their phones. Seungmin was sitting criss-cross in front of Hyunjin and Jeongin, also looking at his phone. 

After about five minutes of waiting for Chan, Jisung dropped his phone in his lap and groaned loudly. 

Minho patted the younger's thigh, saying, "Chan will be back soon."

"We should talk about something," Jisung blurted, ignoring Minho's comment. 

Jeongin lifted his head, asking, "Like what?"

At first, Jisung shrugged. But only a few seconds passed until he thought of something, "Maybe we should talk about Felix and I's joint birthday party! It is only in a week."

Felix sat up and laid his phone on the floor, saying, "I'm not gonna lie, I kind of feel like I don't know you guys well enough for it."

"Yah, I'm right here! And you were laying on my lap!" Changbin retorted, clearly offended. 

Felix chuckled, scooting closer to the older to give him a quick hug. The two had grown close in a short amount of time, but Felix has grown close with all the members...well, except for Hyunjin. 

"Felix hyung, we like you a lot! Please don't think that," Jeongin pouted. 

Seungmin slid across the floor to be closer to Felix, piggybacking on Jeongin's comment, "Yeah, if we didn't like you, we wouldn't talk to you. Or at least I wouldn't."

Felix laughed and patted Seungmin's shoulder, thanking him. 

Jisung clapped his hands together, grabbing everyone's attention before asking, "What do you wanna do for our birthdays, Felix?"

"Uh, I'm not really sure other than just to hang out with everyone," Felix admitted shyly. 

Jisung rolled his eyes playfully, saying, "Ugh! You're boring," then added to his sarcastic comment by saying, "I'm kidding!"

"Maybe we could go bowling!" Jisung then suggested, which triggered some nods from the other boys. 

"Maybe we could have two teams with you two as the captains, and see which team can do the best," Hyunjin said. 

Jisung gasped, "That's a great idea! We're doing that."

"It does sound really fun," Felix agreed, smiling at Hyunjin. 

Hyunjin flashed a quick smile back before turning back to Jisung who was blabbering away. That pain in his chest came back, but this time, it was accompanied by another feeling...in his stomach. 

At first Hyunjin thought that he was going to throw up, but it didn't feel like anything like the nausea he's experienced before. 

Is this feeling really jealousy? It doesn't feel like it, but I don't know what else it would be. 

Finally, the door opened to reveal a returning Chan. The boys hopped to their feet greeting the eldest, with Jisung blurting, "Hyung, we're gonna go bowling for Felix and I's birthdays! You're free next weekend, right?"

Chan chuckled, answering, "Of course! But let's discuss details later. Right now, we need to start working on choreography."

"Was our song choice approved by the principal?" Jeongin asked eagerly. 

To this Chan nodded, and the boys cheered. And so together, they got ready and began the process of creating their dance. 

And all the while, any time Hyunjin would make eye contact with Felix, that feeling in both his chest and stomach would occur. 

This is driving me insane.
