Hyunjin arrived at school a bit late, his mind having kept him up the night before. It was only a few minutes before the first warning bell would ring, so he wanted to go inside quickly to grab his supplies for his first class.

However, when he entered the front doors to the school, a swarm of girls were in a big group near the entrance, making it hard for Hyunjin to worm his way around them. Annoyed, he tried to quietly slip around them, and soon learned why they were there in the first place.

A flustered young boy was what had their attention, as he was trying to refer that attention elsewhere and failing miserably.

The boy had longer blonde hair, yet not as long as Hyunjin's. Freckles dotted his soft-looking face, and his smile was sweet even though he wanted the girls to give him more space.

Hyunjin's chest began to feel weird, and he pondered on the thought of helping the boy. That's when Chan jogged past him and up to the boy, turning to the girls saying, "Sorry ladies, he's new and needs to get to his first class. You guys need to go to class too before you're late!"

The girls respected Chan's words, although not without some disappointed murmurs, and dispersed. The young boy turned to Chan and bowed, exhaling, "Thank you, hyung."

At this point, Hyunjin had wandered over to his locker and was grabbing his materials.

Chan patted the boy's back and began leading him towards Hyunjin, saying, "Ay, it's okay, Felix. But usually, it's Hyunjin here who has the most girl problems."

Hyunjin looked up at the pair, and the young boy smiled down at him, bowing and introducing, "Hi. I'm Felix."

Hyunjin nodded and stood up, saying, "Hyunjin."

At that moment, the first warning bell rang. Chan pressed a gentle hand on Felix's back, saying, "Ah, I need to help him find his first class. Catch ya later, Hyunjin!"

Hyunjin waved as they disappeared around the corner, and he walked to his first class. He sat down in his usual spot, leaning back and closing his eyes as he was a bit sleep deprived.

"Did you see the new kid?"

He slowly opened his eyes and turned his head over to his friend Yeji who sat right next to him, answering, "Yeah, Chan introduced me to him."

"Did you think he was cute?" she asked curiously.

Hyunjin shrugged, saying, "Sure. Were you one of the girls swarming him earlier?"

Yeji scoffed, answering, "You know me better than that, Hyunjin. I would never stoop so low."

Hyunjin smirked at her comment, and that was the end of that.

Lunch arrived, and Hyunjin grabbed his packed lunch and went to sit with his friends. When he got there, he noticed Felix had now joined them. The younger boy smiled when he noticed Hyunjin approaching, and Hyunjin had that weird feeling in his chest again. It made him look away from Felix as he sat next to Jeongin.

"So Felix, how is your first day so far?" Jisung asked eagerly.

Felix chuckled, answering, "It's good! Everyone is pretty nice to me so far."

That's when Hyunjin noticed just how deep Felix's voice was. And that feeling came back in his chest, but this time, it was stronger.

It almost hurt, so Hyunjin flinched slightly, which Jeongin noticed.

"You okay, hyung?" he whispered. Hyunjin only nodded in response.

As the conversation progressed with the other boys asking lots of questions, they learned that Felix was a freshman just like Jisung, Seungmin, and Jeongin. He really enjoys dancing and is mostly self-taught. He grew up in the same neighborhood as Chan did, and they had met in their elementary days. He also really enjoys cooking, and apparently is infamous for his brownies.

Chan eventually butted into the conversation and spoke, "Felix's birthday is actually super close to yours, Hannie."

Jisung's eyes widened, saying, "Really? When is it?"

"September 15th, 2000," Felix said.

This made Jisung gasp and jump to his feet, "Oh my god, I'm older than you by a day!"

Minho next to him rolled his eyes and grabbed Jisung's arm, pulling him back down to the bench saying, "Yah, it's not that exciting."

"It is for me!" Jisung whined.

Felix giggled, mentioning, "Maybe we can have a joint birthday party."

Jisung gasped again, almost yelling, "That's a great idea!"

Minho had to clasp a hand over Jisung's mouth to shut him up, which caused muffled retaliation to emit from Jisung.

Later, as they were being dismissed to their next classes, Chan asked, "Everybody is coming to practice after school, right?"

Everybody agreed in unison, and then parted ways to their next classes.
