11 - Confrontation

"Hyunji-"

Before he could even finish saying his name, Hyunjin left the practice room. Felix's heart ached, and he visibly frowned as he stared at the door that Hyunjin just closed.

Hyunjin had been avoiding Felix for the past week. At first, he thought that it was just because Hyunjin was stressed about midterms. But the older boy won't even look at Felix, let alone acknowledge his presence! It's been affecting Felix a lot, and the other boys were growing more concerned by the day. 

"That's it. I'm confronting that bitch," Jisung blurted, swinging his backpack over his shoulder and storming out of the practice room. 

Jeongin quickly followed after Jisung, while the other boys finished gathering their things. They wanted to follow Jisung and stop him, but they all knew that would be impossible. 

Everyone hugged Felix as they all left the school building to go home, but Minho stayed behind to speak to the younger. 

"Do you really have no idea why he's avoiding you?" Minho asked quietly, to which Felix just shook his head. 

"Well, I know Jisung will get it out of him...somehow. Perhaps not in the best way," Minho said, chuckling at the end of his sentence. 

He looked over at Felix who just hung his head and stared at his shoes. 

"You two were really getting along," Minho mentioned, hoping to get something out of the boy. 

"I know! I was so happy, too," Felix suddenly blurted, his grip that his hands had on his backpack straps tightening. 

"You really like him, don't you?" Minho asked casually, not expecting the reaction he would get. 

Felix blushed and whipped his head up to look at Minho, stuttering, "W-what do you m-mean?"

Minho raised a brow at the boy, asking, "What do you mean?"

Felix gulped, saying, "I asked you first."

"I just meant that you really like him as a friend, but it seems that I may be wrong," Minho explained, nudging the younger with his elbow. 

Felix looked away in embarrassment, softly saying, "I do like him as a friend, but I also like him a little more than that." 

"So, what I'm hearing is that our precious Felix has a little crush on our quiet Hyunjin," Minho said, dragging out Hyunjin's name to tease Felix. 

Felix lightly pushed Minho, making the older laugh. Then Minho remembered the initial issue at hand, and his smile slowly disappeared, saying, "So that's why it's been hurting you so much."

Felix frowned again, letting out a soft "yeah."

"We'll get it figured out, okay? And just so you know," Minho placed his fingers under Felix's chin to turn his head to face him, "I'll fight Hyunjin for you, because I like you more."

"But not as much as you like Jisung," Felix said, taking the rare opportunity to tease the older. 

Minho glared and pushed out his right cheek with his tongue. He poked Felix in the chest with a friendly scowl on his face, warning, "Watch it."

Felix laughed, and that made Minho smile. 

"Come on. I'll take you home," Minho gestured as he began walking to his car. 

Felix followed, adding, "But seriously, you guys would be cute together."

"If you don't stop talking, I'll retract my statement about fighting Hyunjin for you," Minho sighed despite the smile on his face.
