19 - Double Date

Felix locked the front door as he and Hyunjin left the house. He already texted his mom and told Olivia where they were going once Minho pulled up. 

The two hopped in the back of Minho's car, being greeted with a loud, "Hello!" from Jisung. 

"Are you cold, Hyunjin?" Jisung asked, looking at the sweater that the older was wearing. 

"I could ask you the same thing," Hyunjin retorted, looking at the puffy jacket that Jisung was wearing. 

Jisung smiled widely and giggled, glancing at Minho who playfully rolled his eyes with a small smile on his lips. 

"You guys wanna get lunch first?" Minho asked, looking back at Hyunjin and Felix. 

"Sure! I'm pretty hungry," Felix admitted, placing a hand on his stomach. 

"Yeah, let's get food," Hyunjin agreed while looking at Felix, wanting the younger to eat. 

"Okay, but where?" Jisung asked next. 

"I'm not picky!" Felix shrugged, turning to Hyunjin to see what he would say. 

Hyunjin, however, was conflicted. He wanted a sit-down restaurant, where they could relax and enjoy each other's company, but he was scared of the judgement from the strangers around them. 

Then Jeongin's words filled his head. 

"...but, if Felix isn't worried about it, then I don't think you should be either."

Hyunjin took a silent, deep breath and relaxed his shoulders that had tensed at the thought of the public viewing them negatively. 

But before he could say anything, Jisung suggested, "McDonalds?" which Minho and Felix quickly agreed to. So, Hyunjin agreed also and off they went to the nearest McDonalds. 

To Hyunjin's surprise, though, they decided to sit down inside and eat. The boy had automatically assumed that they were going through the drive-thru, but the official couple wanted to sit down and eat inside. Well, it was mostly Minho's idea, as he didn't want crumbs in his car. 

Luckily for Hyunjin, they were the only ones eating inside, so he wouldn't have to worry about any judgement from other customers. 

"So what do you guys think of the dance so far?" Minho asked, hoping for some genuine feedback from the boys. 

"You know I love anything you do," Jisung said before putting a couple fries in his mouth. Minho smirked at his boyfriend before turning back to Hyunjin and Felix. 

"I like it! It's a bit challenging compared to what I'm used to, but it's good!" Felix admitted. 

"It definitely is more challenging than dances we've done in the past," Hyunjin agreed. 

Minho, however, kept staring at Hyunjin. The younger locked eyes with him, and the older raised his brows a bit, saying, "I was expecting you to say more than that." 

Hyunjin, did in fact, have more that he wanted to say. He just didn't want to disrespect his hyung. 

Minho took a bite of his burger and fully chewed it before adding, "Don't be afraid to be honest. I'd really like some genuine feedback if anyone thinks something needs to be changed."

It was quiet for a good while, everyone silently eating their lunch. That is, until Hyunjin cleared his throat before saying, "Just...don't be afraid to go all out. I know it's already a bit challenging, but I think everybody wants a dance with lots of energy to match the song. And we have a good group of very capable dancers."
