"That's far enough for today." Vex said as we had traveled throughout the next day through the woods on foot, since our carriage and been taken out of commission. "Let's make camp." She said leading us to a little circled area of rocks to give us good cover to rest for the evening.
"Oops. Little too much." Keyleth said when some sticks she had gathered around in a small pile burst into a huge mass of flames that singed Vax's jacket.
"Oh, my lord." I said as I sat next to Percy on one of the large rocks leaning against him as I brought my feet up on the rock letting them rest a little from the aching.
"Let's hope she doesn't catch anyone on fire." Percy said quietly to me.
"Oh, my gosh. Oh, sorry! Sorry, sorry, sorry!" Keyleth said standing when she noticed she singed Vax's jacket
"You're fine. You're fine, no worries." Vax said giving the druid girl a flirtatious smile.
"Yeah, no worries. You'll probably get your shit together eventually." Vex said walking by them making me role my eyes lightly at her tone of voice.
"Okay, let's see what this baby can do." Scanlan said as he pulled out a scroll from the small bag of magical items we still had.
"You got a baby in that thing?" Grog asked Scanlan looking at the scroll confused.
"What? N-No. Grog, it's the scroll I picked up from Brimscythe's cave. Just got to figure out how to make it work." Scanlan said as he opened the scroll clearing his throat, "Nevosh, nevonn, klu, mehon." Next thing we knew Scanlan had turned into a frog making both Grog and I laugh.
"It made you handsomer!" Grog yelled making me laugh harder as I leaned into Percy who seemed to be trying to hold back a laugh himself.
"Nevosh, nevonn, klu, mehon." Frog Scanlan said again before turning into some horse mutant creature.
"Whoa, I like that even more!" Grog yelled excitedly
"Nevosh, nevonn, klu, mehon." Scanlan said quickly and frustrated and changing again.
"Now I'm confused and aroused." Grog said going to poke the ass of a now female looking Scanlan.
"Dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah. Hands off. What the...? How the fuck... do I look this good?" Scanlan asked as he turned around looking at himself making me roll my eyes.
"And he's lame again." I say laying back my head in Percy's lap as I look at the slightly amused expression on his face.
"Is that how you really feel, love?" Percy asked me with a small smirk playing at his lips.
"Yep, weird creature Scanlan is far more entertaining. Now we gotta here how he looks so good as a female." I say with a roll of my eyes.
"That's a fair point." Percy said as he ran his fingers through my hair, causing me to close my eyes from how nice it felt.
"She was a holy, holy gnome." Scanlan sang around the fire once it got officially dark, and we all sat around the fire.
"How about what's the strangest creature you've ever killed?" Grog asked all of us. He was sat next to Vex, then Vax, Scanlan, Keyleth, and Percy and I who sat by a rock that was next to the fire, my head laying on his shoulder.
"Oh, that's easy." Vax said from his spot telling us the story of how he fought against a lion man who told him that he would return and find him before Vax threw a blade into his head as he fell out the window making us laugh.
