We appeared in the middle of the keep hovering in the air for a second before we dropped to the floor Scanlan's yelling getting cut off as he landed on the floor. "Yes! I'm alive. Oh, Gilmore, I'd kiss you right now," Scanlan said making his way over to Gilmore taking his hand between both of his and then looking to the side dramatically as he continued speaking, "but you'd inevitably fall in love with me, and that'd be messy, so... eh." With that Scanlan dropped his hand and walked away.

"Here we go." Grog said picking up his blade he got from Sylas, as Vax helped Gilmore take a seat against the wall.

"Grog, where did you get that curious blade?" Gilmore asked the goliath.

"Off a vampire lord." Grog replied smugly like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Pretty cool right?"

"It radiates dark magic." Gilmore responded staring at the weapon drawing my attention fully to there conversation, "Are you sure you know what it does?"

"Sure do. Chops up dragons." Grog said with a chuckle as he walked away making me roll my eyes as I walked over to Percy who was standing by one of the windows looking out.

"Were still to close to the city for my liking. I say we retreat to Whitestone." Percy spoke out loud as he turned around looking to all of us as he grabbed my hand gently in his. "My sister will take us in. We can regroup and plan a counterattack."

"And meanwhile Emon falls." Vax said drawing out attention to him. "The capital of this whole fucking continent. We can't just abandon it."

"Percy's right. I mean, come on, did you see them?" Scanlan said loudly as he leaned back against a wall next to pike. Four giant dragons." He emphasized the lsat of his sentence word for word.

"Vax, what more can we do?" I asked gently as I saw Vex gently rest her hand on Vax's shoulder.

"Our weapons are useless. They're ancient and powerful." Vex said motioning to the outside. "We don't stand a chance." As Vex finished speaking Trinket growled drawing her attention. "You don't like those nasty old lizards, either. Do you Trinket?"

"They called themselves the Chroma Conclave. I thought dragons didn't get along." Keyleth said hugging herself a little tighter.

"That's what worries me." Gilmore spoke up, "Their alliance could mean the destruction of Tal'Dorei. This could be the end of civilization as we know it."

"Yeah, but, come on, civilization's overrated. I say fuck it let's hit Marquet." Scanlan spoke up trying to talk in a lighter voice. "I've always wanted to go on a world tour."

"Yeah, real heroic, Scanlan." Pike said annoyance in her voice as she crossed her eyes glaring at the bard. "I thought we stopped running from our problems."

"Um, guys?" Keyleth aske softly drawing our attention back to her, "What if this is our fault? We killed that blue dragon, Brimscythe. Do you think this is revenge?"

"If it is, it's one hell of a payback." Vex said looking down at the ground.

"Look, if we want to kill those things, we'd need an army." Pike said calmly.

"Emon had the biggest army in Tal'Dorei." I spoke up taking a step from Percy's side closer to the group.

"Brimscythe dismantled it." Percy spoke after me making me roll my eyes lightly that he finished my sentence.

"As I was saying, this plan has long been in motion." I said smacking Percy's arm lightly as a I spoke, only to get interrupted by knocking.

"Someone's at the gates." Pike spoke up, as we all ran to get to the front gates. When we opened them we couldn't help but gasp at how many people stood before us. The line went on for miles of people who were hoping we'd be able to help them.
