"Wow. This place is fancy." Keyleth said as we walked further into the house.

"Apparently Krieg lives here. And has a dreadful taste in art." Percy said as we stopped at the bottom of the staircase looking around.

"Oh, shit. I bet Fince is here to assassinate his ass." Scanlan said sliding into the middle of all of us.

"Oh, you think?" I asked with a light roll of my eyes.

"Why don't you three head to the second floor?" Vex asked looking at Keyleth, Percy and I. "Pike, Scanlan, and Grog search the attic, and Vax and I will start here." Vex said before we all heard a clicking sound that we turned too. As Vax showed a secret cellar door on the floor that was under the carpet.

"Or maybe we all just go check the cellar." Vax said raising his eyebrow at his sister.

Heading down the stairs we saw Fince shoving scrolls into a bag that he had onto his side, and of course Scanlan having to be Scanlan he couldn't keep quiet when we saw Fince. "Aha! We caught you blue-handed chicken humper! Drop your blade." Scanlan shouted out as we drew our weapons. I had to draw my bow since my rapier had disappeared with the dragon.

"What? No, no, you don't understand." Fince said turning to us and taking a step back. "I'm not stealing anything."

"Of course, you're not. And that sword isn't to murder General Krieg with, either right?" Pike called out pointing at the shriveled elf.

"Pike, I think it is." Grog whispered loudly leaning down to ear level of the cleric gnome.

"You must listen to me. These documents are evidence. General Krieg is planning too..." Fince didn't get a chance to finish as he was stabbed through the heart with a sword. He dropped his blade as he looked down at his wound in shock before collapsing to the floor a very intimidating looking General Krieg standing behind him, his blade now bloody.

"What?" Vex said confused

"Krieg!" Vex and Vax said at the same time.

"Nice bloody technique." Vax said in admiration, but I reached out and gripped Percy's hand because something didn't feel right, and the way Percy looked at me, I could tell he sensed that something was wrong too. "How do you stay so quiet in that armor?" Vax continued talking.

"Oh, no." Vex said crying out as she stepped back stumbling into her brother, "He's the one, in league with the..."

"Of course, it was me." Krieg said causally, "I championed you because you're a bunch of witless oafs who no one gives two shites about. You've been lucky so far, but you have no idea what you have gotten yourself into." He ended his statement with pointing his sword at us.

"I've got him." Vax said before dashing out in front of us all throwing his blades, that Krieg easily blocked before taking off down the hallway behind him.

"Fenese, huh?" Keyleth said behind Vax, before we all ran down the hall to see if we could catch Krieg.

"Krieg!" Vex yelled as we entered into a room that was filled with many bookshelves, but Krieg himself was gone.

"He's gone." Scanlan said doing a triple take of the room.

"Quite the keen observation, Scanlan." Percy and I said at the same time as we lowered our weapons upon entering the room.

"There must be a hidden exit or a trap door." I said checking some of the bookshelves.

"Fan out." Percy said after I finished my statement.
