We headed towards the Palace where it looked like everyone in Emon was gathered, as we walked through the crowd, we got to see Gilmore in all his glory. "Vax'ildan!" Gilmore said excitedly as he went to hug the half elf. "Glad to see you alive and with all your... extremities intact." Gilmore flirted shamelessly.

"Looking sharp, Gilmore, as always." Vax said flirting back lightly making me roll my eyes with a chuckle as Percy wrapped his arms around me from behind resting his chin on the top of my head, making me smile as I rested one of my arms over his holding his hand.

"Oh, this old thing?" Gilmore replied to Vax as he fluffed out his collar.

"Any idea what all this fuss is about?" Vax asked him a large smile on his face.

"The criers said Sovereign Uriel is to make a proclamation." Gilmore responded his voice now going more serious as he looked to where the council stood in front of all of us. "Seems juicy; the whole council showed up."

"Friends." Sovereign Uriel spoke catching all of our attention as we looked toward where he stood at the top of the steps. "In recent weeks, Tal'Dorei has been beset by evil, wearing the faces of monsters and men. I relied on my best judgment to meet these threats. But sadly, that judgment was greatly corrupted. The truth is. I allowed strangers into our midst, entrusting them with power they never should have had. Vox Machina..." He paused slightly after he spoke making us wince, worry coursing through us before he continued, "saved us from these threats yet again. They showed me that the wisdom of a group, no matter how unconventional, outweighs that of the individual. There is foresight in friendship. My weakness put the realm in jeopardy. But never again. And so, with humility, I hereby renounce the throne and cede the government to the Council of Tal'Dorei." Everyone in the crowd started murmuring in shock as we all looked at each other, before the Sovereign continued, "These wise patriots shall ensure that Emon stands forever. Now, in addition to the council members you already know, we will be adding a few more." As he spoke Vex suddenly leaned forward grabbing her head tightly

"Vex are you alright?" Vax asked as we all looked at Vex in concern.

"Specifically, pillars of the community who have held up..." Sovereign Uriel was cut off from his speech as a bell started to toll.

"No." Keyleth said panic in her voice as we all turned around to see the shapes of four dragons appearing in the sky the one that flew in the front the largest out of all roaring loudly enough that we could all hear it as they came closer.
