Coming out of the portal one the other side we did not expect to fall out of the tree. Screaming as we fell hundreds of feet. "Pike, grab my claw!" I heard Keyleth yell as we fell.
"Wait, what!?" Pike yelled back confused as we heard the screech of a bird which means Keyleth must have transformed.
"Gods, I hope she catches us." I heard Vex yell out before it sounded like they got grabbed by Keyleth.
"Fuck we're gonna die." I whined loudly as the ground came closer to us.
"The landing's gonna be a bit rough, I'll save our asses with some butt stuff." I heard Scanlan sing from above us as he created a magical ass that we all landed on.
"Before I met you, I would have found this very upsetting." Percy said looking at the bard as we took a second to catch our breaths before a shadow fell over us. Looking up we saw Grog falling quickly towards us.
"Well shit." I said softly as Grog landed in between the cheeks of the ass bouncing us off and onto the ground below, just as Keyleth was landing with Vex, Vax, and Pike. Looking back towards Grog we watched him struggle before he was finally able to stand in the crack.
"Good thing these titties were here." Grog said and I tilted my head shrugging, technically since it is magic, they could be taken either way, but you know I heard Scanlan sing the spell Grog must not have. "What?" Grog asked when he noticed some of the group giving him looks.
"Okay, that was not my fault." Keyleth said getting slightly flustered, "I told Keeper Yennen I have to know the tree. I mean, she was so vague."
"Whoa. You guys?" Pike asked jumping off the rock she was standing on. "We made it." We turned to see Vasselheim as we walked closer to the edge of the snowy cliff side looking out to the city below us.
"Is that Vassem...? Uh... Vagil...?" Grog said struggling to remember the name.
"Vasselheim." Pike said helping Grog remember the name. "Our only chance." With that being said we started our trek down the cliff side towards the city.
"Remember, we're not here as tourists." Percy spoke as we stood in line to get inside Vasselheim, "We need to find allies to fight the conclave."
"I have a good feeling about this place, Percy, don't worry." Pike said as she rode on Grog's shoulders as we started walking forward.
"Oi, state your business." A soldier that was guarding the front gate spoke as he held a hand up in front of Keyleth's face making her stop.
"Good sir, I am Lord Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rollo III, and I require an audience with the Dawn Marshals..." Percy started speaking making me roll my eyes as he gave his full name when the soldier interrupted.
"Well, my name's Rob and I require a sandwich." The soldier Rob said mocking Percy, "You're holding up the line."
"You don't understand." Percy said chuckling light to try to ease the tension, "I have diplomatic credentials as does my betrothed for Whitestone..."
"You want the Marshals, go to the Platinum Sanctuary and find 'em yourself. Now, g'day." Rob said dismissing us.
"Um, did he say 'bidet'?" Grog asked as everyone started walking in and I stepped up next to Percy rubbing his back gently knowing that he took a small blow to his ego from the soldier.
"That usually works." Percy grumbles softly to me as we walk inside, and I take his hand in mine twinning our fingers.
"I know, darling, but think of it this way it's been years since the nobles of Whitestone have traveled anywhere or made any diplomatic deals. People aren't gonna listen right away to that right now." I say softly squeezing his hand gently as I bump my shoulder into him lightly.
