- Something has shifted.
Jungkook could feel the change in the air and he won't lie, he was damn worried.
And scared. So fucking scared.
How can he not be, when the changes were something he had always hoped for before, but now, those same changes were enough to send his mind into a spiral of panic.
Taehyung was acting strange. Very strange.
It started with the little things.
Things that maybe seemed normal to others, but for Jungkook, were very evident. Very frightening.
Like how Taehyung was not talking to him rudely anymore. Not losing his temper at every small thing anymore. There weren't any harsh words, any more insult, no more taunts.
The Alpha was now strangely....polite.
It's been weeks and the Alpha hasn't shouted at him once.
Then the small gestures that started out of the blue.
Leaving small notes to inform Jungkook about his whereabouts. The small texts during the day, just asking how he was.
Leaving flowers by Jungkook's bedside table, complimenting him sometimes, words of endearment.
The small touches, like caressing his hand out of the blue, and those damn goodmorning and goodnight forehead kisses.
And now this. Staring back at Jungkook, was a huge bouquet of roses, sent by Taehyung, congratulating him on the success of his last book, the one which had been nominated for an award.
Taehyung, his mate, who has never given a damn about Jungkook's career, who probably doesn't even know what books Jungkook has written, has sent him a fucking congratulatory bouquet.
What was happening?
Jungkook was so confused. So fucking confused.
He didn't know what to feel, how to feel even.
His omega was joyous, there was no doubt about that.
But Jungkook, he wasn't naive.
Something was definitely brewing in Taehyung's mind. There was no way in hell Taehyung just woke up one day and decided to be a doting mate.
