Madeline stands off to the side as Terry and the new senseis stand in front of the students. Madeline was still sworn off of karate, though she promised Terry that if she wanted to join again, she'd join Cobra Kai. "When I look around today, I see the future. Now it's no secret our past has been flawed. Sensei Kreese fell victim to his demons." Terry says to his students. "But John Kreese is not Cobra Kai. We are. We've already shown that we're champions. But that championship is merely a springboard to new heights. That's why I've brought in some of the finest senseis in the Valley." He motions to them.

Madeline continues scrolling on her phone, not really paying attention to what's being said. One sensei moves another out of the way so he can stand in front of Tory. After whatever he says, Tory glances at Madeline. The latter can tell the girl is uneasy. She almost steps up but a hand on her shoulder stops her. "Now, Madeline, don't go where you don't belong." Terry says quietly to the girl, a menacing tone behind his voice. Terry becomes a different person in front of other people, Madeline's not fond of it. She nods curtly before looking up at him. He smiles softly, reminding her he's still her Terry. She smiles.

Terry wraps his arm around her shoulder, standing with her before walking her over to Tory and the sensei. "How's it going over here, Sensei..." He trails off, not knowing his name. "Jokichi Tatsuya. Everyone calls me Joe." The man, now named Joe, says. "Sensei Joe. What are you working on with our champion?" "First train mind. Then train body." Joe answers. "Don't let me interrupt." Terry says. "If you want to break free of troubles, you must face them directly. Now, focus. Center. Breathe. Attack! Yes!" Joe drops the pad after Tory kicks it.

"Nice work, Nichols." Terry congratulates. "Now, like this." Joe shows Tory what to do on the dummy. "You know Tang Soo Do." Terry mentions. Joe nods. "Where are you from exactly, Sensei Joe?" "Kyoto." Joe says. "Ah, beautiful. I've always loved the Fushimi Inari Shrine." Terry states. "Too many tourists. Nanzen-ji temple much better for your next visit." Joe says as Terry removes his arm from Madeline, crossing it over his chest with the other one. He nods, motioning them to continue before motioning Madeline with him as he walks away. Madeline waits for class to end.

"Sensei Joe. What are you doing tonight?" Terry asks Joe as he's leaving. "I'd love to hear more how a Japanese master ended up in the Valley." He continues, motioning his girl over to him. She walks over, wrapping her arms around his torso. "I am happy to tell you story." Joe says. "Great. Dinner and drinks at my house. Amber, will you make sure Sensei Joe gets all my info? I'll see you tonight." Terry pulls away from Madeline and the two bow at each other before Terry and the girl walk to the little juice bar. "I need to talk to you." Tory says to Terry. "Nichols, what's on your mind? Excited to take things to the next level?"

"What's the point? You'll just pay to make me champion again." Tory snaps causing the atmosphere to tense and Madeline to turn on Terry. "So you know about the ref." Terry says, glancing around behind him. "Have you told anyone else?" "Not yet. So you don't deny it?" Tory asks. "Not at all. I paid him off to make sure Cobra Kai won. It was an insurance policy. You still won the fight." He shrugs. "Did I?" "Of course you did. You're the champion. I know it. LaRusso knows it. The whole Valley knows it. If you don't believe it, then you're the only person who doesn't." He says, pointing at her.

"So what am I supposed to do now? Just go back to normal? And act like nothing happened?" "Listen. I'm not Sensei Kreese. I don't have to connection you two had. I never had to scrape and claw my whole life, like you. But what I do know, is how to use every advantage to ensure victory." He states. "You mean cheating." "The tournament was a matter of Cobra Kai's survival. If a person steals food to survive, are they cheating? Or are they doing what must be done? I want you to be here. And I want you to be you. If you choose to leave, I won't hold it against you. But if you come back tomorrow, I will make you the future of this dojo."
