We're standing in the middle of a frozen lake
Beneath our feet, the ice starts to break
And with each crack we're getting more afraid
Of what to do, and what to say
You don't move closer, neither do I
We just keep staring at each other's eyes
We're too afraid to turn and say goodbye
So we just sink, and choose to die
The water's cold, it almost burns
But soon enough, the numbness comes
And as we both fall into the dark
A step away, but miles apart
And then a stranger comes along
And sits besides the rocks and stones
He sings my name, and then swims down
He takes my hand, we both get out
I wish he looked and talked like you
I do like him, but I love you
The only problem is, you don't
And I won't call this lake my home
So if you want me, prove it now
Before he takes me to his town
Before we walk out of the woods
Before you're stuck in there for good
Frozen on that black abyss
Alone forever,
With no one to miss
You and the darkness
Becoming one
Without a legacy
Your years all gone
