Woman in red

Her presence shone a light into the room.

Red and vibrant, like the flowers that in her garden bloom.

Like the blood spilled by a wounded lover,

that'd rather die than watch her be held by the arms of another.

Like my eyes, when I realized I lost her.

Yes, she shined bright,

warm and full of life.

But she's blind you to your problems,

and will make you fail to realize,

that you should run, and you should hide

from her very presence nearby.

What a delightful sight.

What a wonderful woman, of the dangerous kind.

She'd trick you into kneeling at her feet,

Box in your hands, heart on your sleeve,

and then she'd cast you aside without a care,

and then she'd look away, pretend that you're not there.

While others to lover her shall proceed,

you would sigh, you would cry, and you would weep.

So take it from me:

Do not chase after that ruby glow of hers.

Do not think that you'll survive such penitence.
