In the condo next to school, we used to sneak in, afterhours.

And in the garden, in the back, we would lay between the flowers,

drinking wine, passing our time, whilst talking about our boring lives.

Sharing secrets and some lies, laughing till we lost of minds.

In the golden canopy a few birds would talk as well,

as the breeze that softly blew would caress us with the smell

of the nature nearby.

And we'd look up to the sky, wondering when, wondering why,

would ourselves and our friends die.

And deep down inside we both knew that it was bound to happen soon.

Cause the life we lived was meant to lead us straight into our toumbs.

Drinking, partying, way too much; falling into toxic ruts.

Getting high, so out of touch, that to our death we'd find shortcuts.

But right then and there, we wouldn't mind.

We'd be both at peace outside.

We'd still laugh away our lives,

thinking that surely, we'd survive,

another day, another month, another year,

and not really caring that death was near,

we continued sipping our red wine,

sharing more laugh to pass the time.
