The world's kind of blurry when I am in a hurry,
trying to reach your apartment before the sun goes down.
And I don't know when I'll get to see you again,
so I swallow my tears, I deepen my frown
and - just to catch a glance of your nightgown-
I take buses, cabs, subways and trains,
I climb over mountains, and rocky terrains,
I swim through the rivers, the ponds and the lakes,
and focus on the very thought of your face;
I yearn for you touch, as I wait
for the moment I get to taste
those lips of yours, and lay my hand on your nape.
I don't stop moving, I don't look back,
I run, and I walk, and I crawl to your doostep.
And if only for a night, I get to be by your side,
If only for a while, you get to be mine,
I'd do this all over again.
Because when the morning comes, I will feel content
to at least have loved you for a couple hours.
And although the parting will be sour,
I'll still remember how you smiled when you saw me arrive,
and that will make me crave for the next time
I get to come by.
