Forbidden Love.

He's not one to love.
Yet he's a beautiful dove.
He's not a reliable source.
Yet he's the only book I've understood.

He's an addict at best.
He's one that's put to the test.
He says this is the last cigarette.
But then he inhales and says not just yet.

He's a dangerous land mine.
Who can blow my heart to smithereens.
And yet I continue to walk along.
Never knowing when it's all gonna end.

He's a secret romantic.
A poet with hidden words.
Although he never speaks a sentence.
His eyes are all I've ever heard.

He hides his sensitive nerves.
With believable intelligence.
Holding onto his every word.
And believing his every lie.

His hair covers much of his face.
Like a mask that never comes off.
But he never puts on a show.
It's just his daily act on grace.

Despite all his hurtful scars.
He never fails to kiss them away.
Although he doesn't promise much.
And his kind is all well too known.

His guidance will forever be my bible.
His actions will always be my testaments.
His poems and stories are my scriptures.
And his voice is my weekly hymn.

Our forbidden love will never die in flame.

This is basically about "forbidden" love but only in some sense. I'm not saying all forbidden love is like this but it is for the type of guy I pictured in my head for this concept of poetry. I'm not gonna lie, Kurt Cobain did inspire me a little with this one but once again not all of these stanzas are about him.

I used a picture of Kurt and Courtney because I feel like they loved each other in spite of all the shit which is a little forbidden.. I guess. But I'm not using this poem to describe their relationship.

Sincerely Yours,
Liliana.
