Love of Bowie.

You cut out all of the pieces of my dull layered brain.
And painted them with a true artist's point of view.
You sprinkled my eyes with a hand full of stardust.
And made the lens clear for the wonderfully strange.

In my loneliest of moments, you showed me it's okay to be my own self. Through the sounds of eccentricity, I drowned in your embrace of perspective. You rocked my heart to it's very core and I'm forever clutching it tight. Before you, I stood at the edge of the world as a blank naked canvas with no name.

Now I'm a body with distortedly grotesque poems written all over her. I shall stand consistently proudly as you helped mould me this way. Jumping in the deep end every time as my feet barely touched the ground. With your reassurance, I knew another scripture was a work in progress.

I'll never regret taking your hand and being thrown in the world of beautiful you. There's not a day that goes by where I don't wonder about the genius you were. I cannot thank you enough for all that you have sung, acted, done and said. David Bowie, I love you with all my heart...I'll see you when the clouds part.

It's officially been one year since David Bowie departed earth and joined the many stars in the sky. He's one of the greatest inspirations/influences in my life. I wouldn't be the poet I am without him. He's dearly missed and eternally loved.

I shall remember him always.
Hopefully you will too.

Sincerely Yours,
Liliana.
