Contents - Tea, sunsets, and a talk about the Narrative
Written (albeit pretty rushed) in celebration of 5K reads. Thank you so much for being here! I didn't think I would've gotten this many reads but here we are (

"I'm glad you're all enjoying my narrative so far." Thanked Cyalm, taking another sip of tea as he turned to you. "A small visit to the author in the clouds, what a nice little break for us both."
He kept his gaze on you for a bit before turning to the sunset around you. Letting you take a sip of your own tea before speaking again.
"We both know it's going to end someday, don't we?" He asked, keeping his gaze on the sunset.
"Why worry about that? We have plenty of time. You can rewrite everything from the ground up and we won't mind." You respond, feeling the warmth of the cup in your hands.
"Because I can't entertain all of you once I'm gone. Once the Savior finishes the narrative I won't be there to greet you anymore."
His words make you pause. Not because he was spoiling his own story to the audience, we all know you know how it ends. You paused because of how sad he sounded. You know that Cyalm was dedicated to the point of sacrificing himself, yes, but you never realized how much mental baggage it must be knowing that you've sealed your own fate for entertainment.
You reach out a hand to him, gently holding his own as you comfort him. Causing him to turn his head slightly towards you, his symbol glowing faintly in the process.
"Cyalm... You don't have to rush things if you're not ready. You don't have to speed up for our sake."
"But the narrative would draw on for ages if I don't. It would grow stale with too many fillers."
"It won't be a filler if it grows character relationships and world building, would it?"
He moves to face you properly now. A look of realization was clear on his non-existent face.
"You're right... My audience, you're right! I was so focused on rushing through all the action that I forgot all about relationships!"
He moves his other hand to hold over yours, squeezing it gently. His hands were cold.
"Thank you, my audience. You just saved me from a lot."
"..Any time, Cy. Just for you."
