Yet another Corvus x Reader for a friend. This time with rain!

Warnings - None, please tell me if I should add some
---

It's raining. Again. You stare out the window and draw little shapes on the foggy glass in front of you, sighing as you watch grey clouds cover up the bright sun behind it. Blanketing the world in a duller pallet than you'd like.

Today would've been an eventful day if the rain didn't decide to pour. Corvus, your close frienemy and ally, was going to train with you and teach you a bunch of tips and tricks you can use to your advantage in battle. He even promised to finally let you help out at the Temple a bit. UGHHHHH the sky HAD to say no to all of that, huh???

Eventually, you just decide to make the most of it and take a nap in your room instead of sitting here and cussing at the world. As you get up, however, a knock comes from your front door. A rather harsh one, honestly. You question why someone would be here when you haven't invited anyone. Does Anshine need something?

You open the door slightly and peek outside before opening it fully, surprised at the sight. Corvus is standing on your doorstep, leaning on the doorframe with his cape draped over himself. He's drenched. It takes you a moment to realize why he's leaning forward and open the door wider, stepping to the side to allow him in.

"Finally... I thought you'd just stand there like a statue" Corvus groans, walking in while he moves the dripping cape away from his head. Looking for a coat rack to leave it on.

"Sorry- I just didn't expect you to be here despite the weather..." You explain, taking the coat from him and going to a room in your house. "Uh- Feel free to make yourself at home. I'm just gonna put this in the dryer for you"

"Ehh... I was already walking before the rain started to pour. Thought it'd stop before I got here." Corvus explains, looking around your living room.

You return to Corvus with a towel and hand it to him, humming in response. He gladly takes it and starts drying himself off, mumbling and complaining about the weather. You tried not to laugh when the towel got stuck on his horns a few times and chattered about things. Cancelled plans, things that are going to be moved to other days, complaining about some things and people, until the topic of fighting came around.

At first, you two just spoke about tips and tricks in fighting. Best places to hit, things to avoid, techniques and patterns to get an upper hand, etc. But things quickly got harder for you to understand without Corvus using hand gestures and movement to explain. With each one he tries to explain, he starts pausing more to make sure you understand.

Eventually, he groans as you fail to understand another attack and tackles you to the ground. Wrapping an arm around your head and leaning his back on your chest, his lower body in front of him and away from your arm which was already under the weight of his head. You struggle for a moment and glare at Corvus, about to say something before he cuts you off.

"That's the Kata Gatame. Do you understand now or do I have to do it again?" Corvus asks, slowly moving away.

You shake your head as a 'no' and sit up beside him. Keeping note of what he did

"Good. Maybe we should've just done this from the beginning."

"Could've but this place is too cramped. We might knock something over." You tell him, looking around your living room for anything that fell.

"Not like I'd tackle you to the ground every time I do it. As fun as that sounds, it's time-consuming and loud." Corvus explains. Still staring at you.

You shrug in response and get up, going to the laundry room down the hall.

"Still, I'd like it if we did that elsewhere. Maybe another day when it isn't raining"

"Where are you going? And where's my-"

"I'm off to get it, big guy. Don't get cranky over your blanket"
