The girl had two more classes left, which, fortunately, went much more quietly than the first one. No one tried to hurt her, to piss her off. The molestations and sticky looks from the guys were naturally unavoidable, but she just had to get used to it. They were young, healthy men, and it was understandable that they would stare anyway.
After the last class, the girl dropped by the dean's office to see Mr. Lee. She had to report what had happened, though she did not want to.
"Just don't tell anyone that you know, okay? I don't want to be one of those teachers who at every prank of a student flies to complain, okay, Mr. Lee?"
The man shook his head dolefully, and rubbed his temples tiredly.
"All right, Elena. But you'd better not get on Ledger's nerves. He's not the guy to mess with at all"
"Everything will be all right. Don't worry. Just give me some time, I'll take care of it."
"Ok. By the way, about Ledger," The man remembered as he accompanied the girl to the door. "Jacob Ledger called, told us to stop by today. I'll introduce you."
"What?" Elena was taken aback, almost bumping into the door. "Why?"
"Because I visit him from time to time and report on things at the college"
"Shouldn't that be done in his office?"
"He is a very busy person. We've known each other for a long time and we've been close enough. That's why we're going to dinner"
Elena still didn't understand anything. What kind of dinner could there be with the sponsor of an educational institution? What is she there for?
"I don't understand"
Then, as a lifesaving bell for the dean, the cell phone vibrated, and Mr. Lee, hastily throwing that he would pick up the girl at seven, politely kicked her out the door and answered the call.
Weeeell, Elena didn't understand what was going on, but Mr. Lee was up to something. It was doubtful that any of the teachers would just show up at the patron's house to get acquainted. Well, so much the better. She would have a chance to open her father's eyes to her son's antics. And at least look at this Jacob Ledger, maybe Andrew is a chip off the old block..
With these thoughts she left the building and went towards the parking lot where she had parked her old Ford.
Only she didn't make it to her destination. A white Ferrari ran right out of the road and squealed, blocking the way right in the middle of the sidewalk. Elena sharply stepped back, but was caught in a trap by another car. A black BMW backed up behind her. On the right was a high fence. What the hell is that?
Nervously looking around, she waited to see what would happen next, and just in case, she was ready to throw off her shoes and take a defensive stance. The driver's door of the Ferrari swung open, and Ledger got out. Elena was all hopped up, feeling her heels digging into the pavement, her heels pressed so hard into it.
He leaped deftly over the hood and found himself in front of her. Her heart beat fast, like a bird's when the cage door slams shut behind her.
The girl held her chin up proudly, clutching her purse with cold fingers. There's no one on the deserted street but those two cars. There was nowhere to run either, and this beast took a step forward, pressing her back into the high brownstone fence.
"I see you're skipping other classes, too, aren't you?" Elena had the audacity to ask the question first. - You had time to change your T-shirt.
Instead of a white polo shirt, he was wearing a bright red Pierre Cardin, tightly wrapped around his chest muscles and pumped arms. He could wring her neck if he wanted to. And he wants to - she could tell by the flashes in his oddly colored eyes.
