"I'm going to bed now, dad, hi" Mila smiled again, this time at her father. "I called to tell Andrew that I was coming this week. I missed you".
The expected joy was not added to her father's face.
"Better to wait for the winter holidays, and we would have come to you, than to just drive back and forth and leave the firm". Said Mr Ledger without much warmth, forcing Andrew to clench his teeth.
His sister's smile faded, though she tried hard not to show it.
"Mila, call me when you fly in, I'll meet you" Andy quickly turned his attention to himself, to prevent her from changing her mind once again to please their father.
The piercing blue eyes shifted from the father to him. Mila nodded appreciatively.
"I will. Good night".
She passed out. Andrew exhaled noisily.
"Did you have to remind her with your fucking firm?" He gritted his teeth, tossing the phone aside and giving his father a furtive look.
Mr Ledger folded his arms across his chest.
"What do you mean, "your fucking firm"? You actually live on this firm's money." He reproached him, pointing his index finger at his son.
"Fuck your firm!" Barked Andy, getting up from the bed. "Your daughter is coming to you, and all you think about is the office".
"Do not swear in front of me! " Dad yelled at him. "Stop playing hurtful. Mila feels fine, you're the only one who's wrong. When you graduate, you'll be in charge of the branch and you'll understand what it means to be responsible. You won't have time for any sentimental nonsense".
"Sentimental nonsense?" Andrew shuddered. His father had never noticed Mila's attraction to him. Andrew could understand that his father had never had any fatherly feelings for them, but his sister still wanted to get them from him. "So your whore Tina is not a sentimental nonsense?"
"Shut your mouth, Andrew. It's not for you to tell me how to live my life" A warning flashed in father's eyes. "You're too young to be throwing accusations at me. First study, start earning money, and then we'll talk".
"You know, I'm not going to sit in your office" Andrew reminded him once again. "I have my own plans for my life, which don't include running YOUR business".
" You won't get anywhere without MY money, so you don't have to act all grown-up and self-sufficient now. And in life, you will do what I tell you to do".
The man turned and went to the door, leaving the furious son alone. As soon as the door closed behind him, Andrew grabbed the first thing he could get his hands on and threw it at the wall. The victim was a plastic cup with pencils, scattered on the doorstep.
Let him choke on his own fucking company. Andrew wanted to open something like a sports café, where he would invite famous athletes he knew to rock out and hold autograph sessions. He wanted to do something related to sports.
All his childhood he begged his father to let him play soccer, but he wouldn't let him. He dragged him to additional classes from the age of seven. That's why swimming at college became a kind of an outlet, where Andrew could be himself. And he wanted to make his own future.
It was clear that you can't get rich in Spain without money, but he wasn't going to live the rest of his life the way his father predicted. If he had to work, he would do it. Of course, it would be hard to get started, considering that Ledger had everything what he wanted for all his life.
