Chapter 39

Andrew was going to at least break the bastard's jaw and crush his bones in some places while he looked for him. It took him several hours to find out his whereabouts. But when he arrived at the club on the edge of town and saw Cahlon in the company of cheap girls and boys stoned as he was, than he realized that this jerk had done everything for him.

The music was humming, and there was some shit sticking to the soles of the sneakers. Apparently, the mop was very rarely used here. The air reeked with the stench of booze and dope.

With Cahlon's money he could have hung out in places these lost people only dreamed of, but he decided to kill himself.

Andrew watched the company for a while, and when Matt got up from the table and took off with one of the women, apparently, to the VIP room, Ledger squeezed through the crowd and, taking advantage of the crowds, took Cahlon's cell phone out of his back pocket. He didn't even notice it as he pulled into the dark corridor.

Ledger went outside and tried to unlock the phone, but it didn't work out. The smartphone had a face unlock on it. Damn it. All right. Nate will figure it out. In the meantime...

Andrew dialed Cahlon Sr.'s number, which Nathan had already found, and asked him to come over to the address. Then Andrew returned, took a short video, which clearly shows the company pulling the tracks of drugs with their noses.

Matt didn't drag it out - he popped the pill in his mouth and drank what was in the glass. Just in case, Andrew zoomed in on his face. What if the father decides to leave such behavior of his offspring unpunished. And then he drove away a little to the side and watched from the car as an expensive Mercedes pulled up to the club. A presentable-looking middle-aged man got out and headed inside it. Andrew knew him from his photos, he had accumulated information on their family, too. It did not take five minutes for Matt to be led out under his arms and forcibly placed in the car.

The next morning word reached Elena at the college that Cahlon's family had sent their son to a rehabilitation center for drug addicts.

"Andrew" The girl sat down in the passenger seat of the Ferrari, closing the door behind her, "Were you the one who sent Cahlon to the clinic?"

Ledger shrugged his shoulders indifferently.

"He put himself there".

"What about his threats?"

"Don't worry. He won't hurt you from there. In fact, he seemed to be guided only by rumors. Nate hacked into his phone, but there was nothing on us. Not on it, not in the cloud. His brother probably saw us, but I'll deal with him too. You have nothing to worry about!"
