Since moving to Boston, I've seen a lot of Chris's family. His mum, his sisters, Scott when he's not in LA. But we haven't seen his dad together. Until today. We're going to his house for a dinner with his family. I'm extremely nervous and Chris clocks it, taking my hand as we sit in the car outside the house.

"Don't be nervous." He says with a small smile and I let out a nervous laugh.

"I'm trying nnnot to be."

"You've got this. Just like you did with the dinner at my mom's." He assures and I take a deep breath.

"Yeah.. it's just... it f-feels different. I've only m-met your dad a couple of times, and not for too long. And I've n-not met his w-wife."

"I know. They'll love you, though. Nothing to worry about. Trust me." He says with a smile, leaning over and pecking my cheek. I smile softly. "Ready?" I nod.

"Yeah... ready as I'll ever be." We both hop out of the car and then walk up to the front door. I'm trembling slightly, starting to feel a bit hot and sweaty. A few seconds later, the door opens and Chris's dad is on the other side. He gives us a smile and invites us in.

"How have you both been?" He asks.

"Yeah, we've been good." Chris replies with a smile.

"Good, good. Settling in okay still, Meg?" I flash a smile and nod eagerly.

"Yeah! Starting to g-get used to it all, but still trying to get m-my head around the fact there's no Greggs." I joke and both men laugh. His dad furrows his eyebrows as well.

"It's like a bakery chain in the UK. Very popular." Chris explains and his dad laughs again. "Meg's missing her sausage rolls." He teases and I flush a little, nudging his side, making him laugh again.

"It must be very weird moving to a whole different country. You seem to be coping really well, though."

"She's smashed it." Chris chirps, making me blush again.

"I remember when me and Lisa pranked all four kids when they were younger. We told them we were moving to London. They all balled their eyes out." He tells me and we all laugh.

"I'd cry t-too if mmmy mum t-told me we were m-moving to London."

"Ha, see!" Chris chirps and his dad chuckles.

"Come on through." We follow his dad through the house and to the living room. His wife is very nice and they're both extremely welcoming, but the dinner is a bit more awkward than the one at Lisa's.

Chris's POV
It's early September. Autumn is drawing near and I really can't wait. I've had enough of the summer now. I need that sweater weather. I'm currently out shopping with Scott, trying to help him find an outfit for his premiere of Sell By. We've been to a handful of stores, finding bits and pieces. I can tell he's a little nervous about it. It must run in our blood.

"I think that one looks good." I tell him, nodding at the jacket he's trying on.

"Yeah? Look good with the rest of the outfit?" He asks, giving me a twirl.

"Absolutely! Yeah, I think that'll be great."

"Looks like I'm sorted then." Scott takes off the jacket and then goes to pay for it, before we leave the store. "So are you sure you still want to come to this premiere?" I nod, giving him a smile as we walk down the high street.

"Yeah, of course. Meg has never been to New York and has always wanted to go, so she's really excited. We'll probably head down a day or two earlier." He smiles.
