The end of October is nearing. Chris and I are going to New York for Scott's premiere of his film Sell By. We're heading down a couple of days prior to have some time to explore the city. I've always wanted to visit. It's been a dream of mine for a really long time.
I'm in awe when we get to our hotel. It's really stylish and beautiful, and the view from our room is incredible. We're even lucky enough to have a small balcony.
"What would you like to do first then?" Chris asks me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder, as I stare out at the view. I take a deep breath with a wide smile.
"God, I don't even know. Anything. Everything." He laughs softly.
"What is it that made you want to come here?"
"I don't know. It j-just always seemed like s-somewhere I had to visit. I mean, we HAVE to d-do all the st-stereotypical touristy things." I suggest and he laughs again. "Y'know, Central Park, the Statue of L-Liberty, Times Square, Empire State building."
"Mmm, yes, very touristy, that." He murmurs, starting to leave soft kisses on my neck. I shiver uncontrollably and he smiles a bit.
"We could go to a Giants game." I tease, grinning. He gasps dramatically.
"Don't be so mean." He pouts, making me laugh softly.
"How about a Yankees game then?" I suggest, turning to face him with raised eyebrows. He narrows his eyes at me. He has his Red Sox baseball cap on.
"Stop being ridiculous." He utters, tapping my butt playfully. I laugh and bite my lip. "You know, there's also a museum of sex here too." He states, raising his eyebrows.
"Oh, is there? Yikes. Better stay well clear of th-that." He laughs.
"Why? We could go. Think it'd be fun." He jokes, giving me a wink.
"No way! Imagine the paps! Oh my god, they'd have a f-field day - Captain America star Chris Evans visits sex museum with new whore girlfriend, leading him astray!" He laughs harder, tipping his head back and hugging me tightly.
"Don't be silly. They wouldn't say that. But they probably would have a field day with it. Probably not worth the risk." I laugh softly and shake my head.
We decide to see some of the big landmarks today - the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State building, Times Square, Washington Square Park. It's honestly such an experience. It's an amazing city.
Over the next couple of days, we go to a few of the museums, the central park zoo, Luna Park and we go around the famous shopping areas too. We also get to see a couple of Broadway productions — The Lion King and Hairspray. I love it, honestly. Broadway is spectacular. I wish I could have seen Chris in Lobby Hero.
"So what do you think then? Is Broadway everything you hoped for?" Chris asks, as we slowly walk back to our hotel from the theatre, hand in hand. Smiling widely, I nod.
"And m-more. I love it. I w-wish I could have ssseen you in L-Lobby Hero." He chuckles softly.
"Ah, yeah. That was a lot of fun actually."
"Would you ever d-do it again?" He nods.
"I'd love to, yeah. My love for acting sort of came from doing theatre at school. It's my roots. I'd love to do a musical as well."
"I'd l-love to see you do a m-musical." I say with a wide smile.
"Maybe one day. I wanted to do the remake of West Side Story, but I was told I would be too old to play one of the kids. Absolutely broke my heart." He tells me with a chuckle.
