After a little less than an hour, they made it to the ER. Dean parked then walked to the other side of the car. He opened the door and knelt down, grabbing Jack's hand, knowing he was nervous.
"Hey kiddo. We're here, it's gonna be fine. I'm here and you have no tie to your old name anymore ok, but you're gonna have to answer some questions... I'll tell them what I can, but I can't tell them everything ok?" Jack nodded. "Do you wanna walk or do you want me to carry you?" Jack reached his arms out to Dean in response. "Ok then. It's gonna be cold in there though so let's put on your jacket." After getting his jacket on, Dean leaned down and picked up Jack, who wrapped his arms around his neck, resting his head on his shoulder. When they made it inside, he walked up to the receptionist.
"Hi, how can I help you?"
"We - he isn't feeling well."
"Ok, what's his name and date of birth?"
"Jack Winchester. May 14,2009"
"Are you father?"
"Uh, adoptive yea."
"Can I see your ID?" Dean handed her his ID, as she looked back and fourth, before typing something.
"And symptoms?"
"Bad cramping, vomiting, and fainting." The woman typed on her computer for a moment before handing him a clipboard and pen.
"Fill this out and bring it back up here when you're done. There aren't many people here today, so we should be able to get you in soon."
"Thank you." They made their way to the seating area. Dean set Jack down first, allowing him to find a comfortable position against him.
"How are you holding up kid?"
"I just really want to go to sleep."
"I know. When we get home we can go straight to bed."
"M'kay" Dean started scribbling on the clipboard, answering all the questions the best he could, until it got to the medical history section.
"Hey, I need you to answer these. Or atleast the best you can." Jack took the papers, answering to the best of his knowledge before handing it back to Dean. "Alright, I'm gonna go take this up there, then you can lay down till we get called."
"Here... Do you have any idea of when we'll get called? Sorry for bothering you, I'm just worried."
"It's no problem, I've had a lot worse. Based on what we know, you'll be called after two others. I would estimate about forty-five minutes, but I could be wrong."
"Ok, Thank you." He made his way back to Jack, sitting down and patting his leg. "She said she thinks we'll get called back in about forty-five minutes."
"M'kay." Jack slowly laid down, putting his head in Dean's lap. After a while, he fell asleep. Soon, Dean woke him back up, to tell him it was time to go.
"Come on kiddo, you gotta walk back there so they can check your weight and height." He slowly stood up, reaching out to Dean for support. After they took a few steps, he fainted again, being caught by Dean.
"I'll send out a bed, you can move him to the chairs for now"
"Can I just carry him in there? I really just want to get him seen."
"Ummm - I'm not supposed to allow that, but I will for now seeing as he seems to be fairly light and I can tell you're worried. Follow me." Dean obliged, following the nurse into the room. "Put him on the bed, I'll have the doctor come in soon, but first I would like to ask you some questions in the hall."
