A thud can be heard from the inside and with it some well-known human sounds.
"I know I may have caught you at a bad time but it's been a week since you've come into the office," Namjoon says flustered as he pushes up his glasses.
More thuds can be heard at a faster rate
"Sir..." Namjoon hesitantly speaks as he looks down contemplating whether he should say anymore.
"The Bar was hit this morning," Namjoon says with a grim look
Hurried steps can be heard coming to the door and as soon as it opens Namjoon is ready to greet Jungkook the face he sees isn't his.
"Is he ok?!" Jimin says worriedly as he inches toward him star naked
Namjoon is too shocked to reply quickly enough so the shorter male grabs him by the chest "IS JIN OKAY?!" Jimin yells this time
"He's fine, he wasn't at the shop when it happened," Namjoon tells him as he quickly looks up and creates some distance between them
More rustling can be heard in the room
"Did you bring him with you?" Jimin says as he looks down at the first floor suddenly he feels something cool slide on his body.
"Do you know who it was?" Jungkook says as he slowly places a kiss on Jimin's shoulder.
"I asked him a question first," Jimin says as he holds on to Jungkooks arm and pulls his silk nightgown.
Namjoon knew Jungkook took an interest in the boy but now it seemed more than just that, for him to act lovingly was a first and the boy no less was completely comfortable being with him. As many nighttime guests, Namjoon had chosen for Jungkook or any of the ones he picked up he's never seen any of them last long. They all thought he's presence was too heavy, which Namjoon understood. At times Jungkook would become an entirely different person, and nothing anyone said or do could bring him back down. But now with him just standing there by him. It seemed possible.
"That's right my bad, you asked him first," Jungkook says as he looks at Jimin lovingly and squeezes his hand on his arm.
"No, he isn't, I dropped him off at the office just in case," Namjoon speaks to Jimin with the same respect he would give Jungkook.
"Oh that's great then, You're going over there right," Jimin asks Jungkook
"Yeah I am, are you coming too." Jungkook politely asks as he caresses his face.
"Yeah I will, I'll go get ready," he says and hurriedly returns to the room and shuts the door.
"You catch on quick," Jungkook says as he sees the door shut and then at Namjoon
"If I didn't I wouldn't be alive to be your right hand" Namjoon gives Jungkook a small smile.
"So do we have any idea who did it?" Jungkook asks as he leans on the railing
"Actually we do, but it's a weird situation," Namjoon says as he pulls out his phone. "The person who did it stayed there, with a lighter in his hand and a gas tank sitting next to him. This is him."
Namjoon passes the phone to Jungkook. As he looks at him he hasn't the faintest clue who he is. "How am I suppose to recognize him when he's this beaten up?" Jungkooks says as he laughs and hands over back his phone
"I told those idiots to just scare him, but they went too far. Anyways the only thing they got from him was..." Namjoon says as he hesitantly looks up at Jungkooks face and then at the bedroom door
"What?" Jungkook says seriously
"Jimin," Namjoon says
"Yeah what?" Jimin says as he opens the door looking at the both of them. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Jimin says as he faintly smiles.
"You can't come with me," Jungkook simple says as he pushes him into the room
"I'm coming with you" Jimin retorts as he looks up at him knowing something is wrong "What happened is Jin really not ok?"
"He's fine but" Jungkook stops not knowing how to word it properly that he's most likely going to kill someone today "I just have to go clean up something back there"
"Clean up? Like the warehouse clean up." Jimin says as he goes back into the hallway "That isn't anything new, I'll just wait with Jin and you can come and get me when you're done." Jimin says as he walks toward the stairs
"No, it's completely different from that, They didn't know you but they do," Jungkook says hurriedly hoping that scares him and makes him stay
"They know me?" Jimin pauses and looks nervous "What do you mean they know me?"
Jungkook doesn't say anything
"What does he mean?" This time he says it to Namjoon
Jungkook looks at Namjoon, Namjoon looks at him then looks at Jimin.
"The man responsible for burning the bar said your name, and that's all he said so we aren't sure what he wants," Namjoon says not looking at Jungkook
"Well even more reason I should go," Jimin says and walks down the stairs
"Take me to him right now," Jungkook says as he walks down the stairs slowly waiting for Namjoon
"Why did you tell him" Jungkook looks annoyed and confused
"If you want to keep him safe or keep him at all, he needs to be by your side. You know how this life is to the people we love. Either they're with us or they're not" Namjoon says as he looks in Jimin's direction reminiscing about something of the past or maybe the present.
"Come on boys!" Jimin yells from the door.
