Scarlett's POV
While keeping an eye on the road, I quickly pressed the 'Call' icon on my phone. My phone quietly rang for a second until it was picked up. "Hello?"
"Hey there, sweet cheeks! Are you all dressed up and ready to go?" I asked even if I knew she was still in bed given the sound of her groggy voice.
"W-What? What are you saying?" she asked, quite alarmed and I chuckled.
"Eden! Don't tell me you forgot about our girls night out!" on the other side of the phone, I can hear her shuffling through her bed, I even heard her fall off her own damn bed. It's already 5pm and this girl was still asleep!
"No, I didn't! W-Where are you no-Oh shucks! Where are you now, Scarlett?"
"I'm in my car, about 10 minutes away from your apartment." Actually, that isn't true. I've already arrived in front of the building she lives in. I knew this would happen, that's why I gave her some time to prepare.
"Okay! I-I'll see you in a bit!"
"Bye, sweet cheeks!" I ended the call and decided to wait about 7 minutes in the car, then I'll start heading up to her apartment.
After 7 minutes, I left my car and went inside the building. The security guard greeted me with a 'Hello, ma'am' while opening the door and I replied with a 'Hello' too. The elevator door opened when I pressed the elevator button and headed straight up to the 24th floor.
Once I got to the right floor, I went to the flat where Eden lives and rang the doorbell. "It's unlocked!" she yelled and I allowed myself in, and I was immediately greeted with Eden's pair of Lovebirds. They soar through the air and land on my shoulder.
"Well, I didn't expect them to greet me first." I started and Eden giggled.
"They were making a fuss in the cage, so I had no choice but to let them out for a moment. C'mon, Romeo and Juliet! Time to go back inside." The Lovebirds impressively obeyed Eden's words, but first flew to her finger. She kisses them on the head, then sets them in their cage.
"Can I have a kiss like that too?" I asked innocently and she rolled her eyes.
"Haha, very funny." she sarcastically spoke, then turned towards her full-body mirror, checking if there's anything wrong with her outfit. "How do I look?"
Eden faced me and I nearly melted. She wore a lovely white, floral blouse with black jeans and a pair of heeled shoes. She was a darling. "You look great! Like always."
