One afternoon, Sammy found herself sitting in her dad's house, staring at her phone with Elliot's number. She was debating for quite some time whether it was the right time to talk to him, but it has been more than two weeks and since she didn't really go to her apartment the time she said she would, it was long overdue to meet him again.

The button 'Call' was pressed and she waited for the phone to be answered, it only took a few rings before Elliot answered. Both of them waited for one to start, but no one did for 60 seconds. They knew they were at the other sides of the phones, yet none knew what to say.

"Elliot..." Sammy finally started and the calling of his name sounded more of a sigh.

"Sammy...how have you been?" Elliot asked, he didn't have to ask where she was or who she has been staying with or why she hasn't texted or called him back for so long because he knew all the answers to that.

"I've been..." She paused, she wondered what was the right word to use. Sad, angry, fine, confused, nothing, comfortable. There were many things she had felt in the course of two weeks, but as of that moment. "doing fine."

"I'm glad to hear, I suppose."

"And you?"

"Same." Then another silence came over them. "Look, Sammy...Can we meet somewhere? I really want to talk about...what happened before properly."

"Yeah, that's actually the reason why I called...Why don't we meet at the apartment, Macie should still be at work, right?"

"Um, yeah, she should still be at work...I'll meet you there in 30 minutes? I'm on my day off, so I could come anytime." Elliot replied.

"30 minutes sounds good."

"Right, see you then." Sammy didn't say anything back and just hung up, then released a heavy breath. She got up from her seat and went towards the backyard where her father was. "Dad, can I borrow your car?"

"Why?" He asked without taking his eyes off the book he was reading.

"I'm going back to the apartment to get some of my stuff."

The old man closed his book and stood up from his rocking chair, "I'm coming."

"Wha-No, dad, I've got it covered, okay? Besides, I don't have a lot of stuff there, just jewellery and clothes, that's all, so you don't need to come."

"Well, I want to and I've got nothing else better to do, so might as well come."

The young woman sighed, "Fine..." giving in to her father. She knows why her father wants to tag along and that's mainly because he doesn't want anything bad happening to his precious classic Ford Mustang.

After her dad grabbed his keys, the two of them headed outside and hopped in her dad's car. The engine was started and the man made sure to let his engine roar loudly, letting the whole neighbour know who's driving. "Dad, we are not in the Fast & Furious!" The muscled man just laughed like a lunatic as the engine grew louder causing his daughter to put on the seat belt which is something she doesn't normally do. "I swear we're going to get arrested!"

"Live a little!" Before the woman could reply back, the wheels of the car began to roll at top speed.

"In case you forgot, I AM LIVING!" They were driving fast and Sammy was scared that the police might stop them over. "Dad, you're surpassing 120mph!" At the near distance, she could see a speed checking zone and before she knew it, the car slowed down and when she looked at the speedometer at the side of the road, Sammy was shook when she saw 65mph was their speed.
