❄︎
Tuesday approached rather quickly, Lynette was in the car with her father who was the one driving to the airport to pick up her siblings. The drive was only 30 minutes from her father's house to the airport and Lynette still managed to sleep in his car to make up for the lack of sleep she sometimes gets.
When her father made a turn, Lynette woke up and saw that they were already near the airport. She stretched her arms and legs to wake her up even more. "Had a nice nap?" He asked and Lynette smiled at the sound of her father's low-whispery voice.
"Yeah, it was nice, your smooth driving doesn't really help with keeping me awake." His daughter saw him smile and let out a single chuckle.
"I'll take the compliment. I'm sure that if we take a road trip, you'll do nothing, but sleep!" As he peeked through the cars for a parking spot, he was moving his head too. "Oh!" He exclaimed upon spotting a parking space, though it was quite a walk from the entrance of the airport he thought it was better than nothing and peacefully settled his car down.
The engine was turned off and they both got their stuff and layered with their trench coats. Lynette wore a black long sleeved turtle neck shirt, a long thick cardigan, pair of jeans and a pair of Dr. Martin's shoes along with a leather bag. To avoid any unwanted human contact, she puts on a white surgical mask so that no one could recognise her as an actress. At first, she opted to wear a pair of sunglasses too, but perhaps that'll be a little too much.
Lynette's Outfit
Upon getting out of the car, a gust of cold wind blew through Lynette causing her shiver and tightening her arms around her. For some reason, she always underestimates the weather and doesn't think twice to bring an extra jacket. It didn't help when the wind wouldn't stop blowing at her face even with the mask on. "Oh my god." She whispered.
Suddenly, a thick scarf was wrapped around her neck, it was her father's. "Here." He fixed the scar around her, making sure it was snug, then wraps an arm around her shoulder. "Now, let's go before we both freeze here to death." Together, they ran towards the airport.
A vibration was felt in Lynette's pocket, she took out her phone and a notification from out of her siblings popped out. "Mal said that they're about to walk out of Arrival Hall B."
"I thought they'd be landing just now." Her dad wandered around, checking which direction was Arrival Hall B.
"Perhaps, the drive was longer than we thought." From the distance, she spotted the sign Arrival Hall B and quickly pulled her father. "Right, it's that way." Lynette dragged her father to the designated area and waited there.
Many people were walking out of the door and Lynette carefully examined each and everyone of them. Soon enough, her attention peaked on two brunettes from the crowd and when they passed through the wave of people and saw their faces. Lynette instantly started waving her hands to catch their attention and she saw how her siblings' faces lit up like a light bulb.
