It was that time of the week again. Time to clean the dirty clothes on the laundromat once more. When Elizabeth was preparing her stuff, gathering all her clothes that needed to be washed and all the cleaning liquids she'd require, she was doing so with a smile.

Feeling excited to see her laundromat friend, and along the way, that bright grin on her face couldn't be erased even if something unfortunate were to happen to her like stepping on a dog poop, someone stealing her wallet or getting splashed with dirty water by some jerk who was speeding over the limits. Luckily, none of those happened and everything went by normally.

Since one side of the laundromat was made out of glass where the entrance was. Elizabeth immediately saw the girl she was expecting to see, who had her knees near to her chest and her nose under another book. She stood for a moment, admiring the woman inside.

When Sammy felt someone was staring at her, her attention turned to the window and Elizabeth was greeted with a warm smile, to which she happily returned back to Sammy. "Well, aren't you late?" The younger woman stated as soon as Elizabeth entered.

"My apologies, milady." Elizabeth replied with a dramatic British accent. One that Sammy couldn't help but to laugh on. While placing her dirty clothes in the machine, Elizabeth went to start a conversation with her. "So, how was your day?"

"Aside from what happened last Sunday, nothing much has happened within the past week, just...work, work, work."

Elizabeth then shuts the door to the machine before shooting another question, "What exactly happened to your roommate?"

"Oh you wouldn't believe it!" Sammy said while the grin on her face grew wider as she remembered the night.

"Well, don't leave me waiting, you're making me more curious!" The woman then sat next to the younger woman after finishing her business with the washing machine. Sammy propped herself straight, readying to tell her about the night.

"Okay, okay! Here's what happened, as you remembered my roommate, Macie, called me. She was in a panic and said that there was a tarantula on the loose. I honestly just thought she was being dramatic, but...she wasn't kidding."

"What?!?" Elizabeth's mouth fell open, seeming petrified and Sammy was laughing at her reaction. "But how?"

"Just wait!" Sammy went on with her story, all while Elizabeth seemed to get lost at the woman in front of her. She appeared to be so happy, rambling on and on about last Sunday while her hands flew everywhere. Tiny laughters and giggles break through her words, her dimples showed even more each time she smiled wider and how her eyes turned into a thin line when laughing. It was funny and adorable to watch.

It brings so much admiration and joy to see Sammy in this state. However, it takes only one word to switch something off.

"After we finally caught the tarantula, I asked Macie how did a tarantula was even in the apartment and she told me that my boyfriend, Elliot-"

Oh, she has a boyfriend?

Suddenly, the butterflies she had been feeling slowly died down and a struck of sadness had hit her, then everything went silent. She could see Sammy's mouth moving, but she couldn't hear anything, then there was this heavy feeling on her chest. It's not like she was sick and that got her confused. Wondering why she's feeling the way she is at that moment.

I'm so confused...Why am I upset? All she said was that she has a boyfriend, there's nothing wrong with that...and yet, I'm sad.

"Earth to Olsen!" Elizabeth fluttered her eyes and noticed that Sammy wasn't in front of her anymore, instead she was standing up, putting her freshly washed clothes in the dryer. "You okay?"
