Uta's Idol.

First Disaster.

I was planning to post this chapter on Uta's birthday, but I was on vacation sadly. I don't own One Piece.

After waking from Uta world, Shanks and Beckmen escorted the two children back to town to eat dinner. Instead of Makino, Roux is doing the honors of cooking. Since there was still a few more hours until the chef finished cooking for his big banquet due to cooking for the townspeople also, Luffy and Uta escaped the adults to play some more. This time, they went to the jungle in the east where both children hadn't explored.

"Is it really ok to be here?" Uta asks, slightly worried.

"Are you scared?" Luffy asks.

"No, I just don't want you to be hurt when something stupid happens to you." Uta quickly replies. "It's only natural for me."

As the two wandered deeper into the jungle, they were able to see plants and animals that they were both unfamiliar with. After some time, the children met some monkeys that Luffy has trained with in the past and began to play with them.

"I can't believe you actually know these monkeys." Uta said as she ran around with one of the monkeys happily.

"They're really strong!" Luffy said as he and one of the other monkeys wrestle with each other. "But they're great to hang around with!"

Eek! Eek!

"Maybe because your part monkey." Uta sneers.

"Take that back!" Luffy yells angrily.

After playing with the monkeys, the duo continue their adventure into the forest and admire the wildlife. Luffy has an interest in the birds and insects while Uta looks at the fauna. Eventually, the children reach a clearing outside of the jungle where the sight of the sea awaits.

"Wow."

Uta and Luffy stare at the view with smiles on their faces.

"Hey! What are you kids doing here?"

Luffy and Uta gasp and turn their heads swiftly to see two mountain bandits. Both shiver as they see the bandit's blades shine against the sunlight.

"This is mountain bandit territory, you know." said one of the bandits walking close. "You two better be honest on why you decided to wander here.

"Child or not, we don't play nice." said the other one.

Uta, never been to a fight or has even faced an enemy, shivers in fear. The children take a step away from the bandits. Uta trips on a rock and falls backwards. Looking up, she realizes that she doesn't know danger as Shanks and the crew are always protecting her. Just as she's about to tear up, Luffy gets up and stands his ground.

"Uta, let's run!"

Luffy?

Unfortunately for Uta, Luffy runs past the bandits and into the jungle leaving the frightened Uta behind.

"Hahahaha!" laughs the bandits.

"Did you see the look on the kid's face as he abandoned his little girlfriend?" asks one of the bandits as he wipes his eyes.

The bandits continue to laugh at the sight of Luffy leaving his friend behind. He didn't even have the nerve to help her up. Uta feelings of hate and fear collide with each other causing her to cry. How can Luffy leave her like this after all they went through? She trusted him! One of the bandits pulls out a revolver and the other draws his sword.

Luffy! I hate you! I'll curse you! Shanks will kill you for this! Uta mentally curses. I'll never forgive you, Luffy!

"You should pick better friends next time." laughs one of the bandits as he raises his sword.
