It doesn't get better. The quotes and scenes in this chapter deviates from the movie slightly. I don't One Piece.

Shanks manages to cleave through the demonic being's face and the monster's body shatters into music notes. Shanks breathes a sigh of relief and looks desperately for his daughter.

"Uta is over there!" Roux yells. "Above you!"

Shanks looks up and sees Uta slowly falling from the sky. The captain catches her and frowns. This wasn't supposed to happen.

"Red Haired!"

Shanks turn to see Gordon who's heavily bandaged. Hongo and Snake are assisting the king in moving around, but once Gordon sees Shanks and Uta, he ran towards them.

"Shanks, be honest with me." Gordon sternly said. "Is Uta the user of the Sing Sing fruit?"

Shanks didn't look at the king in the eye, which gave Gordon all he needed to know.

"After telling you the history of devil fruit, I guess it would be hard giving away your daughter to the kingdom." Gordon said. "It's even worse that she came across Tot Musica."

Gordon looks at the ground to see the music sheets of Tot Musica laying there. Gordon angrily stares at the music sheets with fists clenched.

"What are you doing?" Yasopp asks the king. "Destroy it!"

Gordon sweats heavily as he glares at the music piece. However, he doesn't harm the score if Tot Musica.

"Damn it, if you won't do it, I will." the sniper yells as he pulls out his gun.

Once Yasopp gets close, Gordon shields the music with his back. This infuriates the sniper greatly.

"You coward of a king." Yasopp growls. "Look at your kingdom! Look at Uta! Is something so evil worth protecting?!"

Some of the crew members hold the sniper back as he tries to attack the king.

"How dare you!"

"As a king, it's my duty to not destroy Tot Musica, but keep it hidden!" Gordon yells. "Ever since this evil thing was created, we treated Tot Musica as our scared treasure!"

The pirates listen to the king, but could barely hold in their anger.

"Tot Musica is to blame for the destruction to Elegia and as the king, I have nothing but regret and sorrow for what has happened." Gordon mutters. "However, this piece is the pinnacle of music and as musicians, we refuse to destroy such a precious piece of art!"

This time, it was Beckman who's beginning to blow a fuse.

"Why you..."

"Everyone! That's enough!" Shanks shouts.

The pirates stop targeting the king and focus on Shanks.

"Us pirates have no right to judge how a country rules." Shanks said.

The Red Haired Pirates nod and back off from Gordon. Everyone looks over to the sea to see some ships far off in the distance. It's the Marine.

How did they find out so fast? Shanks wonders as he softly clutches his daughter. Government always manages to surprise me.

"The Marine will arrive soon." Shanks said with a heavy sigh.

Gordon stands up and walk towards Shanks.

"As the king, I'll take full responsibility of what has happened." Gordon said. "Take Uta and leave the island."

Shanks shakes his head and hands his daughter to Gordon for which he takes hesitantly.
